Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2

*snip* Armand White has to be one of the worst critics around. I know he's going to say something stupid and he still manages to surprise me. As for the other review Isn't it funny how nobody cries contrivance when Cap, Thor and Tony just so happen to be the only 3 Avengers close enough t...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Snoke was a dud of a character, an off-brand Palpatine wrapped in a mystery box. Having him be a red herring that's offed by Ben was, imo, the smartest thing they could have done with him as he was. Kylo Ren doing what grampa Vader couldn't and claiming the big chair by offing his master was a refre...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Rey using her old look is probably a necessary concession to mask the fact that they're using old footage of Fisher from The Force Awakens. As for the trailer...I don't know. First watch, I liked it right up until the laugh at the end. Kennedy confirmed Palpatine is coming back in some way and that ...

Re: Eva 2.XX Storyboards vs. Final

Wow! Would you say this is good evidence for the Adam Kadmon theory? The final scripts have cut all mention of what happened during Second Impact and what the Katsuragi team was doing in Antarctica in the first place, and while the details of the final sequence differ from this somewhat, this inform...

Re: Rebuilds being a continuation of EoE?

^I could see that. Do any of the other Eva properties or spin-offs besides NME use the Wevangeliwon spelling?

3.0's ending provided a nice set up to start over, just further in the future. Eva is a story that repeats. :P

Eva-fan had a video speculating that it's called that because the movie will end the current "old" Evangelion and also start a new one. "Evangelion 3.0 + Shin Evangelion 1.0" essentially.

I'm really not sure what this form is. It shows up in the very last pages of the story.

Just a reminder that Anima 4 and 5 come out later tonight/tomorrow depending on your time zone!

Edit: and they're now available digitally if that's your jam!

The ending of volume 5 features a new version of Unit 01 I've never seen before:

Re: [NEWS] Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix Spring 2019

Here's a question I just thought up: Is there a chance this whole matter is due to union rules, whether actors are part of an actor's union or not? I don't know if Netflix uses union or nonunion actors for voiceacting, but it could be a factor. Not sure about Netflix, but Funimation is non-union. J...

Re: [Film] Alita: Battle Angel

I have mixed feelings on the movie. The VFX were fantastic and Rosa Salazar was excellent as Alita. I really enjoyed the first two-thirds or so but in the final third I felt like it stumbled hard and did some things that left a bad taste in my mouth. Didn't really care for it upon leaving the theate...

Re: [NEWS] Neon Genesis Evangelion coming to Netflix Spring 2019

Good, good. I'm eager to hear the new cast in action. I know how strongly Grant feels about Asuka but unless Funimation royally screws the pooch, she'll have a big movie coming her way next year or year after and maybe more depending on what Shin Evangelion is. She and the others will be fine sittin...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2

There are currently three Batman/TMNT crossovers available. 2 with the IDW TMNT and comics Batman and one with the 2012 TMNT and BTAS. I'm not sure if the movie is directly adapting one of these or not.

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2

I saw Captain Marvel. I liked it. Larson was a little bland, but the rest of the cast turned it into a fine romp. I had a blast but I think this was the one big misstep the movie made. For a good chunk of the movie we see Vers rather than Carol and she was dealing with that whole "control your...

People have been absolutely fawning over Goose. Marvel even did a one hour livestream of her just doing cat things. They've released a bunch of new TV spots that have some fun bantz between Carol and Fury too.

^Broly was an absolute treat. Don't miss it if you're a DB fan. Blu-ray comes out in April if you missed it in theaters. ^_^ Last movie for me was Gehenna: Where Death Lives a horror movie Netflix kept pushing into my suggestions. Total fucking turd. Just avoid this one, you aren't missing anything.

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2

Margot Robbie especially didn’t like working with him and since her Harley Quinn was one of the only things people actually liked out of that film (and have made her along with Aquaman & Wonder Woman the real star characters of the DC Universe for now) she’s in a place of leverage. What strange...

Re: Tim Miller's Terminator 6 (2019)

I'm not sure what to think about this. The cast photo really isn't anything to go on. I'm probably in the tiny, tiny minority who enjoyed Genisys. It wasn't good but I can at least have fun watching it, which is a lot more than I can say for 3 and Salvation. The problem is that without making AU sto...
