Shoji Kawamori created Escaflowne but didn't direct, tho he may have still been a prominent presence I don't know however.

But from what I've seen I vastly prefer his Macross work to Escaflowne.

Finished Escaflowne, a very good watch. As well as SDF Macross which was also very good. Then watched DYRL and it was ZOMG amazing was blown absolutely away definitely one of my favorite films. So now am gonna watch more stuff from Shoji Kawamori.

I think it's too far along and too much to do to give her much screentime outside of the expositionbot she has been thus far. IMO if she was going to be a major player in rebuild she would have had been given something more to do in 1.0 and 2.0 but she wasn't so don't get your hopes up f...
