Plugging tracks from S^2 Works usually isn't that difficult, but I've come across some discrepancies regarding the two versions of B-16 (Misato). The wiki lists the "Rhythm Only" version as the one used in episodes 2 and 5, though the LD Insert linked to above says it isn&...

If someone is interested in them, I've got all those screenshots for episodes 05-26 in all their 480p unprocessed PNG glory. They're somewhere around 10 GB, though.

Re: Question about Music in Chronological Order of Usage

To start, this page has been incredibly helpful, but it only goes up to episode 6. That page is based on Reichu's original S² Works page , cross-linked to the Commentary pages. It only includes the first 6 episodes because, well, that's where the Commentary project is currently stuck at. Al...

I hereby express my condolences to all of these soon-to-be traumatized Italians.... You can be sure I'll be there laughing at the confused masses once out of the theater. No better chance to pitch my favorite "prequel" theory ;) Too bad we'll have to put up with the dub. No of...

The V10's don't sound so much as you'd imagine them to. If you were sitting at an easy or high speed corner, or a straight, you can hear them just fine, like the last banked turn at Indy. Heh. I remember those V10 back when F1s used to race in Imola. I haven't seen the V8s live, so ...

Hi, the main problem would be that I am not overly familiar with the local copyright infringement laws... If you're worried about uploading the scans directly from Japan, we can set up an encrypted connection and then upload them here on the Wiki or host them on a server somewhere around the wo...

There's something interesting about the preview we saw yesterday. It was taken straight from 3.0, not from the TV preview (in the TV preview Mari doesn't sing and Asuka doesn't ask her to stop, but we just heard them doing so). I half expected them to show 3.33 instead of 3.0, si...

Sure it's a little expensive, but you can't go wrong with the real deal: the original Japanese movie poster. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9e/Eoeposter.JPG They're somewhat rare, but you can find one on eBay from time to time. There seems to be one available right now here ....

Right, I've just checked on the DVDs, it should be "living".

Akio's car sounds just perfect in the new mix. http://www.gwern.net/docs/1997-utena Feel free to sugg...

Quick update: I'm working with gwern right now to get all my notes on the first booklet (and some of Seen's comments from the second) into a webpage that'll compile a lot of Utena info, just like his EVA page on his website. If things are not that busy with me--there's a lot...

Re: Ikuhara on Kaworu

Interesting thing to say. Could be a good lens to look at _Utena_ or _Mawaru Penguindrum_ through. Exactly. This is one of Ikuhara's favourite themes, and it's not hard at all to find it expressed in his works. From the entry for episode 32 in the Revolutionary Girl Utena booklet: As a chil...

Interesting, I'll have to check that out at some point. It reminds me of the slightly different animation for Ritsuko on the escalator in Episode 23, although IIRC, that was a Director's Cut change as opposed to a Renewal change (but I could be wrong). We have a list of the changes ...

As for the cut numbers, I am guessing from storyboards? There is mention of the Yui/Fuyutsuki meeting outside the Artificial Evolution Lab in episode #21' being from the original storyboard but never animated until the video versions were made, so the scene keeps its #104, #105 cut number while...
