A little rough around the edges but pretty good all round I'd say, can't wait for mine to arrive.

There's some boxed pics of unit 08 over on Hobby Search, looks pretty good. Impressed that Kaiyodo have seen fit to not only include unit 02's robot arm but also another right shoulder pylon with the tiny screw detail present on these 3.0 eva variants, that's attention to detail!

Less than a week to go until Unit 08 is released (roughly speaking) and probably the last figure to use the Evo body sculpt. Though I've warmed up to it a bit I wont be sad to see the back of it. Onward to the next gen of revoltech Evangelions!

So only unit 08 to come, then I'm guessing it will go quiet for a while but I wouldn't be surprised if Kaiyodo knock out some alternative 'awakening' versions of unit 09 and 13 before the end of the year... maybe. And hey we get the 'battle cat' unit 02 some way down the line...

Wow, very nice figure. Looks a bit like they've struggled to come up with accessories for this one beyond the obvious things like the scythe hence the base, the jet pack rocket thingy is obviously to big to be included so they've had to come up with something else. Not a bad substitute just ...

Yeah it's a real nice box, the set as a whole is nicely presented and in my opinion the metalic re-paint of Eva 01 looks better than the standard one. I think the finish, as with all the later Evo revoltechs, seems to be a little more consistent.

Hadn't thought about the core... hmm. I can see them using dual piloting system seeing as it was planned with Asuka and Mari in mind for 2.0 at one point and used in 3.0 for unit 13.

It's still kinda daft, if 02 is beyond repair I'd rather unit 08 be left alone, having said that what will Asuka pilot? And that's probably how they came to the conclusion that they did, still there's plenty of time for them to revise that idea. Hell, last time the entire film change...

I'd forgotten about the red spear! Now I feel a little bettter about buying these figures (and makes the bitter pill of having to pay for EMS shipping a little easier to swallow).

So my revoltech Eva unit 01 & Mark 06 special edition set thing shipped today, still not sure if it's worth the money but it's a decent way gettin' Mark 06 I guess.

I think that's a safe bet, resculpt it's shoulder pylons, clour the sucker white, maybe throw in a new head an you're away. Same goes for unit 09.

I would imagine we'd get the hand gun for unit 08 at least.
