I sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day for work, then do so when I'm home.
I can meander about the interwebs while I'm at work, and definitely can do so at home - so, you can estimate about 10-16 hours a day.

I'd like a game like "Typing of the Dead", but it will be from Ritsuko's point of view. Anyone unfamiliar with the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Typing_of_the_Dead Things like setting up sync tests, reprogramming the Magi systems to defend against angels, and setting up de...

The cool thing about them is that they're the covers designed by Tolkien, just with a contemporary twist with the blacked out effect. I'm pretty sure they're the common paperbacks found in stores here and in the UK. BDUK = Book Depository UK . Awesome! I've actually never hea...

It may if you need to rely on their support. But you need to be careful where you get your information from and what it is really describing. For instance, I have heard that Dell's domestic support is lousy; but on the other hand, my extensive experience of Dell's commercial support in Brit...

Brand of the computer doesn't matter when you really break it down. I sold and fixed computers for 5 years - HP vs Asus vs Dell doesn't matter. All of the components in a PC are going to be manufactured by another vendor first. For example, your harddrive will either be Seagate or Western Di...

Two years, LCD. Hmmm, well damn. The only other thing I could suggest is unplugging the video cable, and the power cable. Once they are both removed from the monitor, hit the power buttong a few times and make sure it's cycled out. Computer components can often get static build up (though, ...

Generally speaking, the cables won't be an issue... but it might be worth trying to borrow one from someone/something to test it. Unless you have a habit of moving your screens and components around, cables will almost never be the culprit.

How old is the monitor? CRT, LCD, or LED?

I think the idea is to dissaude people from doing anything ban-worthy to begin with.
Ideally, rules will be recognized and followed, and the necessity of the public ban notices would be entirely moot.
