Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now
Sport Climbing Girls - Yet another sow about cute girls doing stuff, this time around te rather obscure activity of climbing walls. Not much to say, although the activity does mean you get to see cute girls in unusual angles, if that is you stuff. 6/10 I think 6/10 sounds right for this one, though...

Re: What are you watching right now? (tv series + see OP!)
For the last few months I've been slowly working my way through The Sopranos and it's been really fantastic. I've got something like 15 episodes left and I don't want it to end! User gatotsu911 wrote on here a few years back about how the show was a Western equivalent to Neon Genesis Evangelion , an...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now
I finished it and have no desire to ever see it again, I don't even care about the movie and whatever else came out since then, the world and characters just aren't interesting enough. This is 100% how I feel about Violet Evergarden I think to me it was just too cliche? Like I felt I saw the story ...

Re: Silent Hill
With the world shutting down and losing my job I got a chance to beat a lot of video games I hadn't been able to get to before, and one of those was Silent Hill 3 , which was the only game I hadn't played through of the first four. I played through them in the 2,4,1,3 order, which wasn't all that ba...

Re: Anything you regret in life?
Hmm, I feel like there's a certain character who mentioned this in a film somewhere :misato_service: She shoulda changed the carpet  But yea, I think we've all had a ton of screw ups and things we wish we could change. But in life all you can do is just keep moving forward and try to learn fr...

Re: Top anime of the 2010s
But, neither is a sequel. Kino is part remake, part new content and Boogiepop is a prequel, I guess? It's set before the older anime, isn't it? If I had to choose a best sequel I'd probably go with Mushishi and maybe Lupin V, but Lupin changes so much with each movie and season, it's hard to call a...

Mr. Tines wrote:Trailer for Gundam Hathaway movie -- the 40th anniversary project is continuing into the new year.
And it's being directed by Shuko Murase(Ergo Proxy) which I think is pretty exciting.

Re: Anime you loved but now hate(and other ways your tastes changed)
Dragon Ball Z : This case is pretty typical. Has a kid I watched DBZ, like every other kid my age did back then, and loved it. When I finally sat down to properly re watch it years later I found it so dull. Every action took forever and most of the battles weren't nearly has interesting has I remem...

Haven't posted here in a while but I've been lurking. I was never all that active, but this year sheesh I've barely posted anything! Gonna try to post a bit more. I'm surprised the Off Topic thread hasn't been more active since there must be so many new evageeks! Oh well! Shout out to ...

Re: Imaishi and Nakashima are back - Promare
I got to see Promare last night, and it was a real treat. Definitely worth seeing in the theater since there's so much craziness and color and typical Trigger stuff flying across the screen. I was legit thinking during the movie how much would be lost when I watch on my little tv at my apartment, ha...

http://thumbs2.imagebam.com/95/8d/a9/cd8ed11097060494.jpg Nice one, haha. I'll be watching that Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka this season, though it has a pretty terrible English title. It seems to be typical seinen stuff so far, terrible animation and all. I'm not expecting for this one to blow my m...

Re: [Sports] Who's your team?
It's pretty cool that no matter who wins tomorrow the Super Bowl should be pretty fun to watch. I'm predicting a Pats v. Saints match up, but I wouldn't mind a Rams v. Chiefs game either. I like TB12, but I don't need to see them in every damn Super Bowl, and I like Mahomes since he seems to play wi...

Jags over the Steelers- Bortles will have the game of his life, then lose next week and fall off in 2018. This made me lol.... I guess I know more about sports than I thought. Anyway, the divisional playoffs are usually my favorite sports weekend of the year, but this time I'm still a little bummed...

I'm enjoying Jojo: Golden Wind quite a bit. I love the characters and their designs, and I like the stands so far. I wasn't that crazy about the first 2/3 of Diamond is Unbreakable , though I enjoyed the ending quite a bit. Too many weird stands that I didn't really understand(though that's probably...
