I wish that English had more letters for nouns and certain consonant clusters. It would make it easier to transliterate from Russian, for one. More importantly, it would make spelling a bit easier. The alphabet we currently use is frankly better for rendering German than our language.

While we're on books, am I the only one who has a nigh-religious hatred for when people scribble in messy notes and highlight every other line? Sorry to rant. Have to get this off my chest. Grow up. If he turns out badly you're partly responsible. Stuff get destroyed? Hide the rest, or sacri...

I think I would do well living in Japan, but it would take a lot of money at first and going there isn't really compatible with my overall direction right now. I certainly intend to visit sometime however. Maybe if I return to education I'll try going there.

I've seen Monster twice and honestly despite not enjoying it as much as some other shows, I have to say that it's probably the best anime there is in terms of works that can be considered "great art". The plot and characters are wondefully complex, yet the theme and message stays r...

Just watch tons of anime and figure out which words sound like the Chinese ones. More seriously, a lot of more intellectual-sounding or abstract words like "sekai" 世界, "shinbun" 新聞, or "seigi" 正義, will be close to the Chinese. This sort of word is called onyomi 音讀, and ...

I like myself the dark stuff too, but ultimately, seeing people getting bloodily destroyed or the world gone to hell isn't going to have incredibly broad appeal, and even in my own opinion watching more positive work is important to stay sane sometimes, especially after doing things like reading...

Now watching Overman King Gainer. I like this series a lot. It maintains just the right amount of silliness with a potentially serious premise.

I haven't seen it, but it seems like Kaze Tachniu may have been a good film to be his last. From what I hear it combines his love of airplanes and engineering with pacifism, and doesn't have to do do it in a fantasy setting.

VK 30.02 (M) aka What the Panther Should Have Been : This fits my style perfectly for some reason. It's big, not agile, and badly armored, but it's relatively fast and most of all has superb gun handling. It's gun depression gives it good hull-down ability, and the gun aims and ...

Damnit, I'm pretty sure I did the first translation of that chapter (from Chinese), but I wasn't fast enough in getting the text into the images and uploading them. Oh well.

Epic chapter though.

I think that the authorities are not the ones who have something to hide, nor the ones who made disappear the miners, because they did searched for him en masse even though he already disappeared. For those who follows the manga, it's clear that the most likely culprit is That's a likely po...
