This show reminded me of those cartoons who never got past pilot when Cartoon Network started sponsoring artists for what later came to be them Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory. There were a bunch of other pilots done at the same time, many (like that of a duck, was it?) were fair...

I saw info about that comment supposedly from Selecta Visión, the ones with the Eva rights in Spain, but as I could get no reliable source on that (and specially considering how little serious SV can be with their animu releases) I wouldn't put my coins on that.

Has anybody noticed that figma Rei looks as if she has high heels? Is that how the designs were made for Rebuild or just something exclusive of these dolls?

I don't see Anno either. His escapades in the LA format leave IMO much to be desired (except for L&P mayhaps).

Of course I can. There are certain measures you can take to avoid getting false results on searches (like filters and shit), but it's a common sense thing to me. I wish I could use Linux and Amule, but I'm still stuck with Windows and common olde emule. While torrent might be faster ...

Ever since Evastore did a site renewal, their old RSS stopped working. I tried to search for a new one and got something of that sort. But nowadays I rarely get news from there. BUT, now there's been a lot of Eva related activity (new stuff) on the General Products store at Gainax's ...

During MD Geist OVA (don't remember which one) there are a bunch of mechas who have an Eva-01 looking head, but only at certain angles. Much like the "nimenkizou" from that other puppet animu.

I got them while in London in 2008. Were quite expensive, considering how expensive quids were relative to other currencies those days (before the Lehman thingie). Never browsed them in detail though, but now during my efforts to move to a new home I took a more detailed look at them and the...

There's something I think is clear by now: the Eva staff is almost plotted to always deny the idea that they ran out of time/money during the series production, specially the ending. Even though it's obvious they did. And from that essence, a lot of the concurrence discussion based on what t...

While I agree with you on most of that, the mods have the right to do what they want because they have that power, given to them by the creator of this site and forum. They don't owe us a reason. I know that sounds wrong, but when you registered, you more or less agree to that. While in a simpl...

It almost seems as if K-On took a hint from Steve Jobs's marketing for dummies. Results are the same. With less Bono of course, which is always a good thing.

I guess that K-On might not be creepy in itself (just a bunch of infantile schoolgirls doing stupid shit) but when you think it was made (intelligent design...) for people to jerk off at (platonic and more down under from Topos Uranos), then it becomes quite the creep. And I ...

There are 2 points that come up to my mind right now about K-On being creepy: 1) It's sexual but it's asexual. You've got to be kidding yourself if you think that the girls and their situations aren't designed many times to provoke some sort of sexual urge by the viewer. But at t...

K-On is nice and very well done, but when you look beyond the surface it gets creepy (real creepy) and, well, infuriates me. It's one of the most market wise shows I've seen, and that's why its analysis turns to the creepy side.
