Re: Fallout

You know, I came into FO4 planning to roleplay as a psychotic hairtrigger cannibal with a crippling addiction to Jet and Vodka. But it's really hard to get into that mindframe when "grief-stricken loving husband" and "doting father" are automatically shoved into our player's esta...

Re: Fallout

Yeah, I'm hoping there's a bigger functional gap between differing models of power armor to make up for the buzzkill of getting a suit so early. In FO3 the difference between the T-45 and the T-51 was minor, even though the T-51 was much harder to get (without expansions anyway.) I must say though, ...

Re: Fallout

So I bought this game yesterday after making a point not to watch any trailers or reviews or anything, to better ensure that my experience would be completely fresh. I have to say I'm pretty majorly disappointed so far. Two hours in and I've already got a full suit of power armor and have been attac...

Oh joy, I'm the only person in my department who didn't call in "sick" today. That's fine, I guess I'll gladly do the work of four people for nary an extra cent. It's just a shame to see responsibility become indistinguishable from stupidity.

Totally agreed. The first trilogy was so brilliant that I could scarcely put it down. This trilogy is plodding, and focuses too much on the least interesting characters, Achamian not included. Best old geezer in Fictionland.

^ The plot thickens! Seriously though, I think this little attempt at a re-read is already dead in the water. I'm not feeling it nearly as much as I did last night as I sipped wine from my commemerative Harry Potter goblet. What I NEED to do is go back and finish White-Luck Warrior by R. Scott B...

I've been feeling incredibly nostalgic lately, so I turned to an old favorite from my youth, Harry Potter! And it has just now occured to me that Dumbledore is an enormous dick for not nipping Hitler in the bud. He was already an incredibly powerful wizard by the 1940s. Heck, it wouldn't hav...

How does it compare to the previous Battlefront games? Because I haven't heard good things and my expectations are not that high, especially with AAA games these days. It doesn't. It's nothing like the first two, and that's a real shame. But it's actually a really fun Star Wars ...

What we've got here is a great videogame and an AMAZING star wars experience, the likes of which I've been waiting for since I was a pup. But... I just don't think it's a very good sequel. So many of the things I've come to love Battlefront for just aren't here. But oh my god...

Talk about a lousy season. I didn't see a single jackolantern all month, and my daily commute spans five miles. One house set up a zombie in their yard and one house covered their fence in fake spiderwebs. Otherwise it was just business as usual. God I feel sorry for the kids around here. This O...

So I finally got Revelations 2 and I just finished episode 3, so I'm close to the end. Man, I have never felt so torn over a game before. The way the game controls in general is easily the best of any RE game to date, and if they never change a single thing about it for future games, I'll be...

After months of having a friend speak highly of it, I have just purchased the complete first season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Here's to hoping it lives up to the hype and the money spent.

I'm actually pretty dang excited for this. Pro Skater 1 and American Wasteland were some of the most memorable games of my childhood and tween years respectively. It just sucks the 360 version doesn't come out until November 10, over a month later... Can't wait to see and hear the track ...

Eheheheh, nice. I've never quite had that happen, though I've had my palico land the killing blow on a monster more than once. And I swear I once did a mission where a Rathian and Rathalos did more damage to each other than I did to either of them individually, even though they were supposed...

Wow, all the way on page 8 and two years without a post. Am I the only one who's shocked that Monster Hunter gets minimal love on an Eva forum?

I need to get better at stereotyping my fandoms. And using the search button.

That's exactly what I've been trying to do, but man, those delivery quests are a pain by yourself. I'm still only on HR3 since I've been mostly focused on completing all the solo quests (Rank 7 currently) but am more than willing to switch up my priorities. I feel that the we...

What a coincidence! I came THIS close to making a Monster Hunter thread just the other day, but I was too busy playing Monster Hunter to make it happen. Myself and two other friends just recently hopped on the MH bandwagon with 4 Ultimate, and in less than four weeks I've already sunk 65 h...

^ That, and ending the Megaman Battle Network series in favor of that piece of shit Starforce. I'm a little glad that Legends 3 got cancelled because it looked like it was largely going to be played from the POV of some stupid new character. Hopefully Legends 3 starts over development from scrat...

I actually really liked Hellsing Ultimate, except for all that nonsense with Walter in the last couple episodes. That just felt WAY out of left field, and ruined a genuinely awesome character. Also Schrodinger seemed ridiculously random to me, both as a character and as a plot point. I could have do...
