Re: Fire Emblem Franchise
I'm playing Engage right now and I'm enjoying it much more than I ever did Three Houses tbh. I really like that the scope is closer to what the 3DS games were going for (Even if yeah some of the exploration stuff is a little silly. Honestly I think Shadows of Valentia handled this better. I'm also o...

Gonna agree with everyone saying that while he’s bizarrely good at personal and social manipulations he’s not quite a military man.
He’s more of a Survivor player than a Fire Emblem player.

Re: Currently Playing 5: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder!
I beat Xenosaga 3 last night and wow that was a hell of a game. I'm really glad I took the time to play through the trilogy this year because it was honestly really cool journey. I think XS3 was the highlight of the trilogy both story and gameplay-wise (Though XS1 came pretty close to me), but espec...

Re: Last Movie You Watched
I think part of the idea though was that his life was pretty hollow and somewhat meaningless despite/because of his profession (Perhaps this is meant as indictment of modern society in general). I enjoyed The Killer overall and while it's not close to highs of Zodiac or Social Network for me I thoug...

Re: Resident Evil
I was looking through some old gaming magazines in my attic about a week ago, and I found this advertisement for Outbreak that made me think of this thread so I thought I'd share.
SPOILER: Show

Re: Shin Eva - Official Blu-ray Release 2022!
It doesn’t seem to have color banding issues on my setup, but my setup isn’t the same as Killer of Heroes’. I haven’t heard too many great things about the PS5 as a 4K Blu-ray player though, so that could be a contributing factor. (The PS3 & PS4 were top-notch BD Players, but the PS2 was a subp...

What got me was finding out that the real Jiro's wife never even had tuberculosis.

Re: Celebrity RIP Thread
Matthew Perry has died at 54. This one depresses me. I loved what he did in Friends growing up, and more recently I played Fallout: New Vegas for the first time and really enjoyed him as Benny in that. Kinda hard for me to imagine him just being gone. Drowning just seems like such a horrible way to...

Is there any kind of replacement plan webpage for the art cards at least yet? I got mine set through Amazon so I'm wondering what to do here.

Re: girlfriend of steel special edition PSP english patch
thanks. i did try to be rather pedantic with the translation so thats always nice to hear, thoug im sure it has a typo or 2 since english is not my native language :P Not that I'm complaining about a game being translated into the only language my dumb monolingual ass can speak and read, but why di...

Re: Feedback Thread (GENERAL)
Reddit threads tend not to age super well either. Like I love (hate) only being able to read half a conversation in an old thread because a random guy got banned or decided to delete their account or whatever. This is on top of following conversation chains generally being a pain in the ass to follo...

I don't remember MJP super well but I seem to remember it being one of the few shows with CG mech fights that people thought actually looked decent.
Not sure how it holds up on that front but I remember it generally looking better CG-wise than, say, the early VOTOMS Pailsen Files episodes.

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II
I have mixed feelings on CCA because the animation is fantastic and I think Char's characterization here actually kinda works, but pretty much none of the other mains really work that well for me. Like I see what Tomino is going for with Quess and Hathaway and such but it doesn't really land for me....

Re: The morality of Gendo in NTE
I think Rebuild is like most sci-fi action anime where millions of casualties aren't treated with same seriousness as like, Holocaust documentary. In that sense I agree its more like metaphor- like I'm only taking Gendo's death count marginally more seriously than I do Majin Boo using the "Huma...

It's not perfect or anything, but I'll recommend another visual novel in Chaos;Head. The protagonist of that game actually is the twerp that people think Shinji is for not "getting in the damn robot".

I'll probably play MGSDelta anyways, but its hard for me to have much confidence in the series without Kojima. That franchise is his baby first and foremost.

Wasn’t Gkids’ Nadia release kinda botched too? I seem to remember complaints about that one.
