Not much, just make the action sequences longer than 5 minutes and get the frame story involved earlier. Oh and erase EoTV and replace it with EoE.

I like EVA because you can't pin it to one genre, you have great characters, an intelligent story, really exciting battles, a lot of stuff for interpretation and of course drama, lots of drama in it

I watched the german dub after watching the show two times with the eng subs. The dub itself is kinda ... shit, but it helped a lot understanding the more diffucult topics (especially the psychological dreams in EoE)
