Ah, hadn't seen the second report. I feel like Evangelion at this point is basically critic proof. Every fan is going to see it anyway at least once. And even if half of the fans hate it then the other half will still go back to see it again.

Not sure about the US, but I just got confirmation that the local anime film festival will be showing 3.0 in April. Really happy, that's how I saw 2.0 back in 2010.

because in Japan all the Rebuild DVDs have come out in the month of May (1.01, 1.11 & 2.22). Or would that be too early this time, because 3.0 came out later in the year (compared to 1.0 & 2.0)?

We're there to entertain you, milady. It's not really unexpected, this movie seems to be way more controversial than Ha, it'll divide the fanbase even more. Why did fans want to see the same thing over again? This is the most exciting thing that has hapened to Evangelion in a looong time.
