:???: People actually try to claim that? Why? It's not like it'd change anything that happened next. Basically because people have argued that there is no exact tangible proof that she was killed on screen, but keep in mind that the people who argue this point tend to have an inability to r...

Ironfoot: A lot of that sounds like the sort of thing one would (and does) find in bad ero doujins. Also, Asuka would be an insignificant source of meat to a traditionally-sized cannibal. She wouldn't even show up on the ravenous harpies' radars. You can blame my job for that, not t...

Disturbing to some, not unexpected to others: -Misato having sex with minors (Shinji), where the sequences are almost fully shown. -An angel that slowly bleeds an Evangelion to death, including the pilot involved whose internal organs slowly implode, figuratively and visually. -Showing how a...

Angelic Days is essentially a fanwankers dream, drawn out like a typical high school anime drama. It provides an outlet for those predisposed towards thinking of better lives for tragic characters.

And once again... We waited a month for... nothing new. At this point it's routine to pop in here for the usual EoE standard, with small hopes of something new and original. The story must run its course, but any changes that Sadamoto might implement will probably start around Shinji's deci...

You just described domestic abuse. If you live in the US: http://www.thehotline.org If not, I suggest finding an agency in your country that specializes in domestic abuse. They may not have the same legal power as they do here in the US, but any help at this point is better than none. The first step...

Maybe you should report to the BBB. TowerAnime's servers are in PA, but that's probably just the registrar. Their warehouse is in CA however and they get products from overseas i.e. Malaysia, which tells me they're a bootleg business. I didn't realize the origin of the products unti...

That sucks, where did you order from? toweranime.com, never go there if your life depends on it. They called the Gurren Lagann bootleg a "box set" when it's nowhere close to one. False advertising if I've ever seen it. It's only now that I realize that Gurren Lagann is extreme...

Re: Getting rid of Adam and Lilith?

I was just wondering today what if they didn't need them and didn't want to go ahead with their own plan for instrumentality. The question is not whether SEELE needed them, but rather could Instrumentality have been diverted without their grandiose plans of restarting humanity to comfort th...

On 12/28 I ordered Gurren Lagann, Eva 1.11/2.22, Abenobashi and Mushi-shi. Only Mushi-shi arrived remotely on time, the rest were put onto indefinite back order. After waiting for nearly a month, the rest finally arrived at my house today. Guess what? Except for Mushi-shi, they're all bootlegs. ...

Nothing at all, until a friend wanted to show me a really messed up movie. It was called End of Evangelion. I had no idea what the hell happened in that movie, but I wanted more of it so I later watched the TV show. Watching the series backwards didn't seem to phase me.

I'm surprised that sites that MU and the like got away with their unmoderated, unmitigated piracy for this long. Even worse, they were charging money for it. Not that there isn't a lot of legitimate use for a quick and easy form of sharing stuff (for business, or even personal, you can ...

Two more file sharing sites scratched off the list

Specifically, FileSonic no longer allows file sharing, only access to your own uploaded files. Uploaded.to has also cut access to users in the US.

Yeah, my dad wanted something to watch, so I suggested Evangelion. He'd watch it on one major condition: dubbed only. I hesitated, but decided to relent, there was no other way he was going to see it. Eventually my mom joined in and they watched the whole series, so I guess they liked it. Then I...

Nearly every friend I've showed Evangelion to has gotten into it in some form or another. One is still intensely hooked onto it. I've also watched it with my parents (including EoE), who both sat through it and thought it was "pretty good," though never commented further.

I never thought the quality of the sub font would ever stop me from watching the series, but lo and behold. Ergo Proxy's put on hold largely because the sub font is so horrid I can no longer tolerate it. A bright, large, pixelated yellow font with the letters squeezed together is not the way to ...

Pretty much what FFF4E stated, also the fact that it'd be odd to start a new naming mechanism at this point. The pattern is already there.

You can (not) Redo reminds me of Anno's past failures and it makes me wonder if he'll come to terms with his mistakes.

Water pump kicked the bucket. Guy came out and said we had bacterial iron in our water supply and we had to shock it. He pours a gallon of Clorox bleach down the pipes. Yeah, so now my water is undrinkable and smells like bleach. The system obviously wasn't flushed out correctly. I'm going t...

I think most of my tolerance and regard is for them as concepts That's pretty much how I see the characters now. Imagining them as actual people is bad for your mental health, considering how selfish and negative most of them are. Initially I liked Kaji, but now he is one of my least liked char...
