Incidentally, everything still fits. It doesn't seem that Rei 1 can be anything BUT an accidental byproduct of the attempt to recreate Yui's body and fix her soul into it. I've mulled over, even staunchly advocated, the other possibilities, and, in the end, nothing else fully satisfies ...

The Spear is clearly in the form of a weapon. Indeed, a BIOLOGICAL weapon, due to the fact that it can metamorph, can be cloned, and is comprised of blatantly organic matter. :cough:exploding into amber-colored crap:cough: (The source of its power shouldn't be a terrible enigma, either... w...

The cloned lances turn into the blobby stuff with little legs that we see at the torso part of lilith: http://www.evageeks.org/ANF-Archive/images/../images/ODE86626FQLRT1QM5G1173H0G-lilith.jpg I know that but what does it mean? That the lance is made of solidified LCL or some other Lilith related m...

Plus it's a repetition of what Shinji says when he gets to Misato's house.

After the many times I've seen Eva, I have never noticed that you can see Rei's hand when they look inside the entry plug. Guh-ross! I noticed it the second or third time round. They could have made it a bit more obvious. Without the right lighting it could easily be missed. Originally post...

In saying that the plot stops I don't mean its a waste of an episode, but it certainly can't be put on the level of say an episode 14 or 17 which don't feature new Angels to fight but still are plot heavy episodes. I don't really think you can compare 14 and 17 with 4. #4 is esoteri...

Some may disagree but in my opinion #4 is one of the most meaningful episodes in the series. I also appreciate it because it makes clear early in the series that this is not some simple mecha vs monster type show. I don't know why some people still act like Anno changed the direction of the seri...

Not "destructive" third impact.

They want constructive third impact.

I'm confused.

If the dead sea scrolls predict what will happen then why are they so worried about the earth being destroyed by "destructive" third impact?

[quote=Keisuke-kun] Maybe Anno was still in his phase where he didn't know exactly what to do. Maybe one of the guys really isn't part of SEELE and is just kind of a UN representative. So teh really SEELE wouldn't want to give him any info. If I had to guess I would have to guess the US....

In #21 we find out that it was Gendo himself that proposed the HCP to Keel. . I never really understood that. I don't see the connection between a giant creature blowing up in Antarctica and the unity of all human souls. Were the dead sea scrolls some sort of instruction manuel e.g "How to...

From what Keel said it is suggested that Gendo was working on the HI project before Sachiel appeared. Why is it taking him so long to get the lance and initiate the process?

Yeah I suppose that does work considering the stuff he said about Rei being like a mother earlier.

I wonder if the same thing happens in ep 15 at the graveyard.

You see Rei just for a second and there was no real reason for her to be there with Gendo.

Anyway, I don't remember the events of the episode completely, maybe it was ridiculous, but I think the connection was that right when the robot comes Shinji appears new in the class. That still doesn't make much sense, since it could have just as easily been one of the other kids, like Rei...

It was a bit ridiculous.

Wow someone new in the class. I wonder if he's the pilot of a robot.

I think most people in T3 worked for NERV in some manner anyway. Why else would the kids at the school think Shinji may have been a pilot? How do they know that the robot they only saw once even has a pilot and why would they suspect a kid being that pilot if they didn't have further information...

142 Of course, even when 100% complete NERV's "intercept system" has utterly no effect on the angels, and later against the JSSDF. You have to wonder why they even built the thing. Why do we build nuclear shelters when in the event of a nuclear attack they would be pretty useless? Ori...
