I think the only theme I would keep from Sagisu's score would be Rei's theme. I always found it haunting and mysterious, and just downright beautiful.

Tamers had a very dark, slightly more epic scale to it that I always associated to Eva. In fact, the whole D-Reaper thing was very Instrumentality-like.
