Well there is speculation that it was a big setup -- Anno may have been using the titles with colons so he can use the repeat/end sign in the most ambiguous way.

(Well of course you'd have to accept that particuar setup needed multiple years. )

I don't like the shape of the plugsuit, but the dark color works rather well for her. I wish for a more simple design. (Perhaps a similar design to Rei's original with only dark colors.)
