It's ok to talk during bad movies. Making loud comments for the whole theater to hear is guillotine worthy, though.

The music from Until You Come to Me was pretty good, minus the steel drums which just remind me of The Little Mermaid. I want more subdued music like that for Final, and less POUNDING EPIC VOCAL ARRRRRGGHH music.

These are extremely embarrassing moves from Sony and Paramount. The ball is in Disney's court to step in and vacuum up the rest of Hollywood. I wonder how they would have responded to such a threat.

Arrrrgh! I hate this view so much ! This is.. this is why I watch so many damn cartoons! I see levity as a key part of storytelling. (3 page essay redacted) As for the mistranslation.. well, we can just say that Misato never truly knew what was going on. What mental disorder do you h...

I always wanted to make a topic here, about where the on air version was. I remember seeing pics of it when I first informed myself about NGE. I also found the original Death and Rebirth on YT (Tamashii no Rufuran, an intermission, etc.) and now they are lost. Well, they were till now. :D A...

Have they confirmed that the "On-Air" box set is going to be the legit on-air versions? They lied in the Renewal set, and just recut the DC versions to be like the originals. The old art was still cleaned up, and can only be seen on the original DVD/LDs/VHS and the Platinum set in America....

JRPG between 2.0 and 3.0. Fight the Nemesis series and other crazy shit that's come about as a result of partial third impact. The last fourth is 3.0 itself, with some additions and Wunder as your airship. God Eva-13 is the final boss.

Gendo has to die to redeem himself. Anno is too much of a hack animeism writer to not do it now.

Meh. I don't think copping an attitude toward people who are trying to kill you and executing mortal enemies is sociopathic, personally. Just believable on the one hand and common sense on the other (because really, it's not like Megatron or Sentinel Prime could ever be trusted to refor...

Take, say, Edge of Tomorrow: great reviews, sure, but people wonder why it isn't more popular. And the reason is simple: it isn't very good. Its sole redeeming feature is the fact that its female lead isn't lame, and that's not much to hang a movie on. Us Eva-natics™ sure know quali...

Transformers 1 and 3 prove that somewhere inside the production of these movies is a glimmer of talent. There's memorable moments, despite the infantile dialogue, and I think a decent screenwriter and strong studio leash could wrangle a good movie out of Bay again. They seem content to let him d...

Re: About some non-fanfiction plot notes...

1. A Earth where not just humankind, but planet Earth itself is divided in two hemispheres separated by an energy barrier. With all the imaginable consequences... Sounds like a groan generator unless it's executed very well. I wouldn't have an exposition dump explaining it. 2. Minors and ba...

It makes sense (basically an anti-groundhog day plot), but I'm not sure what 'payoff' this could lead to that would justify the trouble. It's just a gimmick without a narrative, and the only obvious way to take it is towards a super vague aesop about learning to appreciate t...

Does this concept even make sense?

I'm trying to write a fic with a sci-fi basis, but I'm not sure if the core "gimmick" makes any sense outside my own brain. Here's the deal: Every day you wake up in the same room, remembering (generally) what is supposed to be there and what isn't, how it got there...
