Yes, the current conditions under which we view can make things a little confusing. With regard to most of the titles I see mentioned, I'm clueless as to whether they are series...-es, OVAs, or movies. I'm tempted to prompt people to stop reffering to this stuff as "anime" and just...

I've seen that in anime before Eva's creation, never heard any controversy. Cite an example. You probably saw either a movie, an OVA, or something that aired later at night. Come to think of it, wasn't Eva rescheduled due to content? Does anyone know at what point in the series this too...

The exact moment of objection was the mutilation of Eva-03. That killed the last two episodes.

It really makes you wonder about how specta/crapta-cular the ending might have been had the network not prompted SEGA to pull its funding.

"Passion of the Christ", NGE, and centuries of Christian art depict crucifiction inaccurately. The nails were driven into the wrist (and against the median nerve to achieve mucho pain) so that it was secured between the radius, ulna, and carpal bones and able to support the body&#...

Wouldn't hurt to throw the "nails-through-the-palms" bit into the bowl, as well.

Okay, you've go me. What the **** are you talking about, now?

In the circumstances that it is complete bullshit, "absolute disproof" might be hard to find. The burden of proof is on those who promote the theory.

Then, like the Luciferian Fall, let's hang on to it for shits and giggles.

After giving us multiple hints in earlier episodes and finally outright telling us in ep. 23 three, people still think EVAS ARE ROBOTS! If they actually have watched the show, then this doesn't apply as a misconception, as it is impossible to have it. And as for the "Barons of Hell" t...

Quote: - Rei and Kaworu are Actual Albinos How was this disproved? It wasn't per se , but the misconcepion lies in the idea that allusions to Albinim the Disease (if you want to call it that) were intentional. Sadamoto stated that Rei was given red eyes simply to add interest to her des...

I have had strange fantasies of Gendo showing his right hand off to those pro-life people who pickett abortion clinics. "Hey, guys, check THIS out!" Hmm... http://www.evageeks.org/ANF-Archive/images/../images/-getlost.gif . I know what my first kid will be doing... Originally posted on: 0...

What age was Jesus supposed to be when he found out the truth about who he was? That might make a nice pointless religious reference. No, no, no, he's Jesus, remember? He always knew, 'cause he's special. *does sparkly hand geture* Also, I'm fine with that Tabris conclusion. One les...

What do you mean, "the boy could probably have passed for either"? I don't recall anyone making Kaworu out to be a girl. I don't mean it literally. But the kid would definitely make an insanely-coveted cell mate. Kaworu is a girly boy; maybe ADAM is a girly Angel. Quote: It might ...

Wait... What the hell was I talking about? If I know, then I shall be afraid. The "traditional character" of the gender is being reversed (female-->dominant, male-->submissive), but Lilith is not made male, even though Adam is, if only once, identified with the feminine by being c...

*reaches way back prior to stuff it didn't read* Actually, I was referring more to this: According to Cabbalistic teachings, taken up by Paracelsus and Böhme, the Ur-Adam was androgynous: 'he was a man and a woman at the same time (...) quite pure in breeding. He could give birth par...

Just a sidenote: don't be afraid of calling ADAM a "him". It's an Androgyne.

I'm not sure. It could just be me blowing hot air, but I'd need a test subject to find out.
