I recall reading spoilers for Q, and still being at a loss for words when the film was over, and downright shocked when Kaworu died

For Kaworu's line, there is an alternative explanation. In jo, mind erasure was mentioned, in ha, Kaworu refers to Shinji as if they had met before, and in Q we learn that Shinji has had his mind erased in the past. Who's to say Kaworu wasn't among those memories?

That only works if the characters remember past event's but failed to learn from them. In NTE, there is no indication that the characters possess any memory of the events of NGE, so the idea of repeating mistakes you don't learn from doesn't really hold up

Another issue i have is that the mechanics of Impacts seem to behave quite differently in NTE compared to NGE. Most notably, whenever an Impact happens in NTE, a giant rainbow portal appears in the sky with 2I's still hovering over Antarctica in ha, whereas in NGE, 2I seems more like a large explosion

Aside from the Moon being upside-down in the first image (i have no clue why that is), the same side is facing the Earth. The Moon's far side actually has much less dark splotches on it than the planet-facing side

First question: Can you explain why the blood stain on the moon is no longer visible from the Earths surface in NTE?

I'm going to need an official source on that theme park description you mentioned. As for the voice actor, While that holds more credibility since, IIRC Anno told him and no one else who Kaworu actually was, the description alone is too vague and open-ended to draw a proper conclusion
