i dont think that Asuka would have died. because in the fight with that one angel who defeats both of them all three active eva's would have fought and killed it. and Shinji would never have left.

its the only anime that i've seen thats had as much depth and gone into topics others feel they can't. or maybe just dont. it also reminds me a hell of a lot of atlas shrugged.
