Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

*Light spoilers, heavy spoilers in spoilertags* Binged the Mandalorian last weekend. So far I've enjoyed all new stuff from Star Wars, BUT the new trilogy. Han Solo was a bit predictable, like they checked of a checklist for all the things we know about Han Solo to be included. Like how he got his l...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

^ I haven't seen much Star Wars, as mentioned, so my knowledge is kinda low, but what is the problem with the Star Ramp? In viii a rebel ship makes a hyperspace jump into the badguy's flagship, severely damaging it. It looks really cool, but it simply breaks what was established before. If this is ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

I dont frequent those boards and i don't look at imdb/rottentomatoes/metacritic, as those scores rarely match my own opinion. I've seen all three movies with same group of friends. This is all anecdotal ofcourse, but general sentiment of vii, was that it was kinda unoriginal. Lots of redo of the pre...

Re: Forum Wackiness

A DOS doesn't have to be on purpose. It can happen when for example, some spambot is being overly zealous and requests too much from the server in a small span of time. Or some bug/error in software, causing to poll the site in an infinite loop. Or simply too much traffic. A DDOS tho (extra d for di...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Weird? I think most people thought that Ep VII was "ok", but hated on VIII and IX. I dont hear much praise about VIII, personally i think its the least one of the three. Unneccesary casino scene and characters (like the codebreaker, i like Benicio Del Toro, sad to see that he also got a sh...

So back to Virm anyway?
I just hope they are designed better, cause they just looked unoriginal and mashed together in the anime.

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Nah Finn was supposed to be paired with that Asian chick, but somehow that caused so much backlash (other than it was extremely poorly written, i dont get the hate towards her), so they dropped that and gave her only a 10 second scene. Just like the Codebreaker, all sorts of new characters ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Well sort of. That was the story of Darth Plagis, or at least, being able to manipulate life or give life. Darth Sidious (emperor) tried getting those secrets from him and killed him. Tho he didnt manage to get those secrets. Fan theory goes that his experimenting with these powers caused the Force ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

All I want to know is does that little toxic asshole Kylo get his redemption? You can put it in spoilers cause if he does I'm done with franchise... All you want to know? Yes, he does, not very satisfying, imo The rest, heavy spoilers!: During a fight with Rey, Leia uses force powers to reach Ben &...

I really loved anything about Code Geass, also Akito the Exiled.
Havent seen this movie yet tho, imo, it doesn't really fit in a movie.
As you mentioned, I expect it to be way too rushed in a movie.

I'll pick it up soon tho.

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Spoilers! I saw it 2 days ago. After TLJ, I had very low expectations and still kinda managed to be disapointed. Its just a flurry of "cool" scenes after one another. Fancy locations and planets (the CGI is pretty). It feels like you are watching a really milked weekly tv series, ...

Re: [Spoilers] Population of Earth after the Third Impact

Have you seen the preview? Takes place in Paris, and the place seems pretty messed up as well. It seems most of the world is covered in "core", which makes it unlivable. The moon being close enough to earth to share its atmosphere (and rotating that fast) can't be good either. I think you'...

Re: Stuff that you would like to see in Evangelion 3.0+1.0

Haven't read all this, so maybe this has been suggested before, but I thought of something the other day, I thought I would share. Because I would like to see something from the timeskip, the missing eva's and angels, how to cover that fast in the movie (because obviously, if we get to see this, the...

Ah yes, totally right. In which case my way of seperating em doesnt really work, so never mind that :p
But the gist of it is that a DDoS doesnt have to mean malicious intent.

Re: Forum Wackiness

Also note there is a difference between DDoS en DoS, DDos is directed (the first D) and is thus being done on purpose. A DoS doesnt have to be an attack, it could be as simple as an indexing bot, or some malware simply requesting too much of the server for it to go down. So you can still get DoS-ed,...

Re: Oh boy! A NEW HALF-LIFE GAME! (Half-Life: Alyx)

This pretty much demonstrates and confirms Steam's stance on the franchise tho, so we can truly forget about ever seeing Half Life 3. Valve only uses it to push services and their hardware, they dont care about satisfying the playerbase with a worthy sequel :( What was the last game they produced? A...
