DOn't think many did, however, I can bet you that millions would have donated to Breast cancer awareness month. Fucking gypping us out of cancer research funds. Yeah, FUCK giving money to a type of cancer that causes nearly half a million cases a year, has a poor prognosis, and affects a wide a...

Saw Skyfall last night. I really enjoyed the movie, and I think the franchise is moving in a positive direction. Craig's Bond is no longer quite as intense intense and humorless that he was in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace . It's nice to have Bond back, and not the cookie cutter Bourne...

THIS. I remember trying to read this as a teen and not understanding what the fuck was going on. I picked it up again last year while I was working at the library and absolutely loved it once I "got" it. What I think made the difference this time around was that I'd read Gibson's ...

I am currently working on a presentation that explores the methane cycle on Saturn's moon Titan. Cryovolcanism is weird. So, like, Titan has a crust of water ice, methane clathrates (methane gas trapped within the crystal lattice of water ice) and ammonium sulfide. There's also an oc...

Oh god, so much reading over Thanksgiving week. So much that my eyes are glazing over every time they see text. It's going to take some time to digest this all. Dancing With Eternity - So, for those of you interested in the vidya, the author, John Patrick Lowrie was the voice of the sniper in TF...

I am also currently working my way through a collection of H.P. Lovecraft's works. Oddly, it's some of his shorter stories or relatively unknown ones that are creeping me out the most. Yes, his more famous works (At the Mountains of Madness, Dunwich Horror, Shadow Over Insmouth, etc)...

My brother has "fun" playing it, but from watching him play all he does when he finds a mech stronger than he is to run into it, knocking both of them to the ground, and repeating the process until a stronger mech on his team can get to him and take care of it.

So there were these two guys. I think they broke into a crypt in some third-world Catholic church and stole something from a tomb. They mutilate a corpse to get at the treasure, then one guy betrays the other and locks him in the tomb. Fairly typical grave robbing stuff, that. Unfortunately, stealin...

Incident has a side-B story called "Canyon of the Damned" (I think?) which ends in a group of people being chased by an undead Velociraptor. Fun times. This reminds me of a story that I read a few years ago (I think?) about a guy who grew hair that was actually a miniature...
