Let's see... a year ago, I was eagerly lapping up all of that delicious spoilsauce and wondering whether 3.33 would still be playing in theaters by the time that my ship became stationed in Japan. Fortunately, it was... and I saw it in theaters twice. My hand was whiter and stickier than Shinji&...

There's nothing about the original Japanese that specifies who Mari is talking about, no. Could have been Yui, Rei 1, or Rei 2 (whom Mari briefly dealt with on the battlefield). Again, here's a potential area where how the Japanese was translated could have a significant impact on t...

I didn't mind how Funi's 2.22 release only looked like the Japanese release on the outside, but when you pulled thecase out of the sleeve it was Mari artwork. What I didn't like was how it was a regular Blu-ray case... that's one of the main reasons I prefer 1.11's release (a...

Might just be a mock-up cover anyway, but I wish Funimation would have had more consistency with their NME covers. Not an end all be all (and it wouldn't have to be the Japanese release covers), but it would be a nice touch. ??? The Funimation release of 3.33 appears to have the same co...

Regarding the line where Mari says that Rei Q's original was friendlier... is there anything about the original Japanese to indicate that she's referring to Rei? The reason I ask is because, despite everyone assuming that Mari's referring to the old Rei here, Rei Q's original is in f...

Unfortunately I have no friends (or friends of friends) with acting experience. I'm working with what I've got. Fortunately they're not die-hard Eva fans... the mexican and the ginger didn't even know of Eva's existence until I dragged them to see 3.0 in theaters. Since t...

Re: Live-Action Eva

Are you serious, or are you trolling? I'm 100% serious. Unfortunately. Filming won't begin until around January, but this is definitely a thing that's happening. The "interesting" casting choices are due to using people aboard my ship who've seen Eva and are also ins...

Live-Action Eva

So... I'll be writing/directing a live-action adaptation of Evangelion. As much as I would've liked to take this project seriously however, limitations on who I can cast pretty much dictates the direction that this film will take. The casting (so far) is as follows: A Mexican as Shin...

Blu-ray pre-ordered, naturally. Finally I'll be able to stop watching 3.33 with subs... not that it bothered me, considering I easily watched it over a half-dozen times, not counting the two times I saw it in theaters. But I do prefer my Eva dubbed, so I'm pretty excited for this.

I partially agree. The downsides of fangames (can't be sold, risk cease & desist) make them unsuitable for games that are meant to be taken seriously, but I love the potential of fangames for silly joke/parody games. Which is what Pokemon Purple is. If I ever make a serious Eva-style...

I've had some ideas for an Evangelion game, but I'm not even going to attempt it until I have more experience making 3D games under my belt.

In the mean time, I'm working on the Pokemon Purple game that Agentomega mentioned, which is a Pokemon fangame with some Eva crossover.

I'm very impressed. Opening all of those packs can be pretty nice. When I was 13 I saved up all summer for a MTG booster box, and when I finally got one I made a very big deal out of opening all 36 of the packs. Sadly, I didn't really get the cards I wanted to get and the rare holographic I...

I've finally gotten out of my slump with regard to this project, and plan to resume it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, "as soon as possible" will probably be mid-October/early November, though I'll do my best to try and find as much time before then to begin work on this. I wan...
