Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2015 to now
After watching the first few episodes of shows in the new season those were my impressions: Mayoiga: Could also be called Lost: The anime. The difference between this one and the infamous TV show is that people strand themselves voluntarily instead of being victims of a plane crash, and there are mo...

Re: [TV] A Game of Thrones
As far as I'm aware, that part is actually correct, i.e. a guy who has his balls chopped off before puberty shouldn't be all that beefy. He didn't need to be beefy, just toned. This is not how I imagine someone who's been training as a soldier from childhood would look like, even if they lack testo...

Re: [TV] A Game of Thrones
That's just a plot demand, whoever needs to win the fight to make the story more interesting will win. How else can you explain a dwarf surviving multiple conflict situations with armed soldiers and even killing them sometimes? I'm more annoyed by the blatant miscasting of Grey Worm. Supposedly he's...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2015 to now
Just watched Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and liked it a lot. It's nothing groundbreaking, just a pretty straightforward action show with an interesting premise that happens to be well executed. It also bears a lot of similarities with Attack on Titan, but there is much less screaming. Just replace...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2015 to now
I'm slowly starting to get back into anime and will probably follow a couple shows this season. I'll be very selective about what I pick up though because I don't want to get stuck watching mediocre stuff as I have in the past. So far I've watched 2 shows from the new season and they were good enoug...

I actually liked the transparency, the links were clear enough to me, but I can see how it could be harder for others to see. Maybe it could become a customization option in the future?

Re: Dead or Alive Xtreme 3
^It could be a special edition not marketed alongside the main game. DoA Extremer, I mean, the work is practically done already, they would just need to alter a few things and cash in on the extra sales. The potential for bad publicity is probably what keeps this from happening.

Wouldn't it just become an adult game? Japan has lots of those.

At that point they might as well make them fully naked. I wonder why this isn't a thing yet.

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2015 to now
I recently finished the sequel OVAs of Suisei no Gargantia that were on my "to watch" list for a long time. The experience was quite disappointing, not so much for what it was but for what it could have been. Apparently they had plans for a second season but for some reason they couldn't d...

Re: Hollywood's "Ghost in the Shell"
^ My problem with it is that they might not set it in America. If they do it's all good as far as I'm concerned, if they don't and most of the movie's cast is white then it will look awful.

Re: Hollywood's "Ghost in the Shell"
Where do you get that idea? I haven't seen anything indicating this is the case. Also, FWIW Motoko has used bodies of different ages, genders, and ethnicities on multiple occasions. Her picking one that looks like ScarJo isn't out of the question, particularly if she's on assignment to the American...

Re: Hollywood's "Ghost in the Shell"
Wait, the movie is actually set in Japan? That's ridiculous, I thought they would change the setting to somewhere in the west, but apparently they will keep it in Japan, and so far we only know of one actor that is actually Japanese. I have to agree with Ray here, this is awful. I'd be okay with eve...

Re: Dat Banner, Tho
Oh come on, both are wearing such obvious wigs and a metric shitton of makeup, neither of which Rei would go anywhere near. Well, if someone is trying to emulate a cartoon some degree of artificiality is expected, going for realism won't always produce the best result. The biggest problem with the ...

I don't really get it, and don't take this the wrong way for anyone that was on the forum at this time but, the "Golden Age of Evageeks" as I'll dub it sounds extremely pretentious. Was the forum that different before compared to now? (Personally all I know about is the story of V and wha...

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]
This post reminded me that gamers who started gaming in the 7th console generation or later are lucky, they will never be forced to play a game that has actual bad graphics. And that makes me very happy. If this makes it harder for them to enjoy the less graphically potent games of old then it's th...

A.T. Fish : Aww, that's adorable... What happened that you stopped having these sorts of thoughts? I don't know, I used to have a very active imagination not too long ago, now I'm just boring. I think real life caught up to me and I started focusing more on what is real than what is in my head, sad...
