Re: NGE2: First Ancestral Race and Seeds of Life
@SawItAtAge10 , I think this is the most elegant hypothesis we have so far! Thanks. I've had something 20 years to mull Evangelion over in my head Lol And I still feel like I'm barely scratching the surface with the more "advanced" aspects of the show such as the vague backstory mythos. T...

Re: NGE2: First Ancestral Race and Seeds of Life
First, I concur with what Reichu said about the FAR ultimately being all too human. In fact, right alongside the notion that NGE's story is the story of man itself, thus the SDSCs being the literature that would inspire world religions (evidenced by Shinji questioning the notion of fighting Angels a...

Fanfic Story Ideas, Mk. II
[ Continued from here. -Reichu] FLYING FORTRESS CITY TOKYO 3 So, in this version of the NGE world, Kaworu's soul goes into Lilith after his death. Then, as a wave of new angels mysteriously arrive around the globe, Nerv harnesses and augments the AT Field emanating from Lilth's crucified body to cre...

Re: Cruel Angel's Thesis - lyrics in instrumental section solved?
Interesting! Portuguese was studied a lot in Japan in the days outsider influence was very restricted in Japan and only a few traders from select nations had access to it. Would that have been a part of the Silk Road? Because historically speaking, then yes that would make sense with regard to Port...

Re: The New Kids Are Weird
To everyone commenting. I didn't mean for my initial post to be insulting or anything like that. I was honestly just having fun with the whole thing seeing as the show's been around for a long time and we're getting this new wave of fans in, so the title was more or less me just being tongue in chee...

Only that we have no real way of knowing if the hole or the cap have always been there, or if it's just entirely man-made. I mean they do talk about having 22 layers of armor plates in there, so I doubt the whole lid is an original feature. Hmm..So that could mean that the hole is where the Seed en...

Re: Netflix Release General Discussion
I think the ambiguity there is about how much Shinji really means what he's saying and how much is just a way to have Asuka help him. That just seems like a double standard. If that's the case then Kaworu could've still have said "I love you" and we could extrapolate the "ambiguity&q...

Re: Netflix Release General Discussion
On Tuesday there was the last thread about this, and it was about the supposedly increased Asushin romance. Lots of people approved this and defended it as the Khara translation, again. Perhaps because it was Asushin, but who knows. To be fair, it did seem a bit hypocritical seeing as there's this ...

This is the best visualization I know of: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/evangelion-geofront-1fb54331408147c3b9fb502b6c883cb0 Whoa! That is awesome! :D Hmm..So, I suppose then the "hole" we seen in the grainy image would be the cap thing here for this model...So that means this could be ...

Re: Wiki article on the end of End of Eva
Interesting. I never considered that Shinji might've been alone for a little and might've been going slightly insane as a result of the isolation. I do wonder though...If it's been a few weeks since Instrumentality ended, what on Earth did he eat? How is still alive and not succumb to the elements.....

Interesting...Well, it's possible in NGE's post 2nd impact world that they may have restructured. Or, Nerv could have some fancy tech where they have capacitors that are able to adapt in fashion... Idk, it's anime science fiction, it never really made that much sense to begin with, it just looked re...

So could we be seeing here what the original seal on one of the Moon's portals looked like? Fascinating stuff! Oh crap! Re: Netflix English Dub Discussion
The splooshes were the most egregious, random and uncalled for change AWL made to EoE. "Hit em again" is pretty bad too, and the script error with Misato's exposition is a huge canonical oversight. On the whole, the Manga dub of EoE is preferable to me, but those things, minor they may se...

Re: Netflix English Dub Discussion
AWL wasn't hand-picked by the people who created Eva to adapt it into another language, and her decisions indicated that she either didn't respect the original artistic intent or she didn't understand it. She has also long been very unprofessional in how she publically regards the original creators...

Re: Reiquarium Images - New Interpretations and Ideas
It's interesting because the theory regarding the origin of the moon is actually irl called the Giant Impact Theory. So naturally, that would be First Impact in NGE when Lilith arrived and messed up everything Adam was doing...which wasn't much seeing as she fell on her own spear. And given Rei's as...

Being in pain is not an excuse to inflict pain. NGE itself provides plenty of illustrations of that. Reichu, I think that just might be one of the most beautiful things I ever seen you write since I've been on this forum. And to be clear, I really was just joking, and I thought I evoke of Eva-theme...

I concur completely with this sentiment. Except for "balls to the walls" "I like you" "I'm the lowest of the low" and replacing "So fucking what if I'm not you?!"
