Re: I found the answer but..
This thread hasn't made much sense to me yet (I havent attempted to read the links yet either), so thanks for that nerv bae. But what is it? I take it it someone detailed intepretation and theory about the movies, but the things you listed, i take it its just lots of speculation? Wunders spine being...

Re: Why is Misato so poor?
Rei is pretty much the only person Gendo is shown to have any form of affection for onscreen (the one offscreen ofcourse being yui, which happens to be the person Rei is cloned from). I dont think this is neglicense. If it has to make any sense other than setting up a background for a gloomy girl id...

Re: Why is Misato so poor?
I was kinda under the impression that appartment block was pretty much empty. At least don't ever see any neighbours about. After Sachiels attack and Shinji and Misato are shopping for beer and snacks, there are some women discussing the attack and how many people already have left town. So I figure...

Re: Why is Misato so poor?
But if Shinji runs away to stroll around town, sleep on the street and all, apparently theres an entire squad of agents tailing him, he just had to say the word and they brought him back to base. On the part of Gendo running errands in a military grade helicopter, that contrast is even more apparent...

Re: Why is Misato so poor?
You didn't even mention her car, which must be the most prominent example of her poverty. Talking about how many payments she has left on the car, and it getting wrecked by an angel attack seems to be her own problem. No company car? No company insurance? I can imagine that no normal insurance agenc...

Re: More On The Spears...
Hmm interesting idea, it would explain why Kaworu is so baffled that they are the same. He needs both spears because they work complementary. Having two of the same spears, is like having just one. Mystery still remains of course how that spear apparently changed ... Though for me "these new sp...

Re: I don't think NGE and EOE message entirely holds up in the modern day.
You can rest assured with the knowledge that this goes for pretty much any anime/manga or other local cultural thing. It's supposed to be accompanied with the proper context, that being, culture, tradition, language, popculture etc, all the things that make Japan what it is. So when you stumble upon...

Re: Mari is not afflicted with the “Curse of Eva”
There is this theory which I like, that Mari is indeed a clone and that she has known her "mother", the dna-donor she is cloned from. And that she received a full set of memories from her "mother"-donor. The Iscariot Fuyutsuki is referencing, would be that actual mother-donor, bu...

And lest not forgot that Gendo is Sjinji's actual father. Sure, you shouldn't blame a child for his fathers actions, but I definitely think this has weight too.
Perhaps this familial connection is even stronger in Japanese culture? Holding a grudge towards ones children for their actions, I mean.

Correct, but the title of the post asks if thats reasonable, my answer: No, of course it's not.

About legality, you two are right for the most part. Law don't seem to matter much when mankind is on the brink of extinction. Only personal moral opinions, like Misato protesting the dummy plug, preferring to put fate in the hands of children like Shinji, which Kaji then makes a remark about (becau...

Thanks to Kuribo-04's avatar for constantly reminding to one day watch this one, I finally took some time to binge this one, and ooh boy, what a ride it was! Normally I kinda cringe about blatant fanservice, boob and crotch shots, it just doesn't excite me so those kind of shots while blatantly obvi...

Ah thats where the confusion comes from ...
You see, if you DONT have a cookie, you get the inversion and it's persistent.
Blockio's post actually SETS a cookie to stop it, which you apparantly don't get otherwise.

I have no clue what everyone is talking about ... clearing cookies or opening in icognito (which shouldnt be loading cookies at all) made no difference, i just see the invert filter on the html body (which is kinda annoying).

Definitely same vibes as Akito but, imo, a much more compelling story. Code Geass is mostly about Lelouch, the spinoff characters just feel too insignificant to that. A whole bunch of characters of which you'll know they won't matter for the overal story, but not really that interesting on their own...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Boba's backstory was kind of interesting to see although it would probably have worked just as fine as a flashback episode in the mando series, rather than dedicate its own series to it. A lot felt lackluster, like on paper it all seemed a good idea, but once started filming realizing there really i...

@Blockio I would like to thank you for mentioning 86, I've started my binge and I'm loving it so far. It's a bit like Code Geass: Akito the Exiled + the Skynet bits of Horizon: Zero Dawn. Really digging it, tho at first it kinda felt like an Akito ripoff (86 = 11, being sent to their death in battle...

Axx°N N. theres another instance of CG used for people and thats during Wunder's first activation sequence when you see the bridge (with all the people in it) moving into position for battle. Also feels really uncanny to me, like they propped up a bunch of lifeless mannequins (afaik, they dont move ...

Re: Sooner or later could be realized some anime's series that will be severals Evangelion's reboot?
Archer I agree. For new media (ova, series, movies) to exist, I think there's only 2 possibilities. 1, expand on the current: Tell stories from the timeskip, make a prequel, tell short stories about minor character (a day in the life of penpen or some shit) or 2, cross-overs and spin-offs Think a se...

Re: What did Shinji do to deserve instrumentality?
It's like when wishing upon a Djinn or something, how such a wish would backfire. "I wish for world peace" > *Djinn kills all people* > there! world peace! Shinji didn't want to feel pain anymore, other people are constantly hurting him, and it's too much, so he'd wish for it all to stop. ...
