Actually we find out that the FAR are just a trolling effort on Anno's part and are actually the start of the UFO Ending, and the sole purpose of Rebuild is to elaborate on it.

Well seeing that thread about Eva characters in Silent Hill just showed me the best crossover ever, and I believe that image has just shown me the worst.
