then they can just up their price for 2.0. And then repeat it for 3.0 onwards. I hope they don't get too greedy. They got a little greedy for EoE and look what happened. Black Hyuga may have been a side effect of production budget being reduced just to get the license. I might just be consideri...

I loved the use of Beethoven's 4th actually. It was a perfect fit.

Maybe it's just me, but I've watched so much anime with subtitles that it doesn't bother me anymore. Yeah, anime is a visual medium, but no more so than live action film. I think it takes a bit more to appreciate the subtleties of cinematography and other visual aspects of film though. I...

I love the english dub of the original series, and quite frankly, I think most if not all of the detractors either have a highly romanticized idea of what they and their friends sounded like when they were children, and don't seem to understand the idea of localization and the fact that Japanes...

That wasn't blaringly noticeable and really over-the-top cheesy-sounding, though. I just kind of sat there in puzzlement the first time I heard the ... uhh... additions to the 1.0 version of Angel Attack. Sagisu's choruses usually sound like that, it's apart of his style, if you've ...

Yes, it is 23 tracks from the THAT BOARD link, I was looking at the wrong thing when posting. -_- And earlier edit: apparently the film use the regular versions of The Beast 2 and Thanatos (supposedly). The regular edition is 36 tracks, the special edition is 59 tracks..total...including th...

Very good song.Although I was disapointed that they reused thanato's and the Beast II directly from the TV series instead of remixing them like they did for some of the songs in 1.0. I'm glad they didn't change Thanatos. The original version was perfect, no reason to change what's a...

It's been up for a while. I think they released it a few months ago as a sneak peak or something like that.

Does anyone know where that song plays during the movie?

Does anyone know where I can find the Eva 1.01 2 disc version online? Play-asia seems to have sold out and I'm not sure if they'll get it back in stock since it was a limited release. I've been strapped for cash lately and haven't gotten the chance to order it yet. Thanks in advance ...

If you bought the DVD, you can rip it and encode it to whatever you want, as long as it isn't distributed. You can encode it so you can watch it on your ipod, for example. You have the right to the personal use. That isn't true, at least in the United States due to the Digital Millennium Co...

I got it, but only because I didn't own Eva previously on DVD. Overall it's not bad, but I do regret paying the extra money just for the crappy special features....some of the presumptions Greenfield makes are just off his rocker.

Not all of Ghibli's works are meant for children. eg, Mononoke Hime had some violence and the like in it, IIRC. Heads and arms being cut off by arrows, a disembodied wolf's head biting off someone's arm, and the like. But that's nothing for the children of Japan. I wonder why the ex...

Gendou really is a tragic character in his mind. He lost his wife, and in doing so put fort all of his energy and resources to get her back. The problem was, he left his son and completely alienated him. The scene in EoE really made me tear up, when Gendo says that he didn't think that he deserv...

Face it, Disney wont want to touch them due to the shitstorm that follows. How many parents do you think would freak because of the liberal use of the words Angel and God . I've got nothing against them, it just isn't gonna happen. That's what made me laugh. Evafan, I agree that Disney ...

Personally, I wish they would get a brand new cast and a company like Disney would get the distribution rights, because only then do I think that Evangelion could get the kind of quality dub it deserves. I notice some people here saying how the original Japanese doesn't get the characters right,...
