Short version: they're not great about fixing bugs or balance issues, even for premium items, and their customer service is... challenged.

It's an etiquette thing. People put images in spoilers so other people, who may be viewing the site on a mobile device, don't have to scroll past a bunch of unrelated images to get to the ones they actually want to look at.
