Because it's their character. That's what I was referring to when I said they're not robots, though I should have elaborated on it. [snip] Evageeks is neither of those types of sites, though. It doesn't exist to generate a profit (I'm assuming it operates at a loss since I s...

Now symbv, I like you. I think you bring something unique to this forum and when you left I think it lost something. But that said, I think you're mistaken here. The mods did give an explanation for why Ran's post was censored: It's because it wasn't courteous to other members. And ...

(Raises hand timidly.) Could I also get in on that? I just finished reading this thing and my brain broke. It's just fantastic. If it is the 18x edition that you have read, try the all-age version too. Gratuitous sex scenes were cut but some scenes were also added. Storyline was streaml...

Examples of what exactly? The various forums I've frequented over the years had similar techniques, but lots of them are already down so I can't bring examples based on my own experience - not that I would even remember where I would find concrete examples in the first place. Mods who repla...

Re: Tip offs. Bl

This red text case hardly contributes to anything like that. It's almost a universal thing on the Internet so most of the newcomers won't be confused by it. Examples? And your tone seems I do know little about Internet, which is smug - I am in forums like MAL and S48 and a bunch of Japanese...

Re: Tip offs. Bl

Most people can figure it out from context relatively easily. All you need to know is that only mods can use red text, that mods can edit other people's posts, and that most people don't rebuke their transgressions in the third person. @symbv : Ran is personally addressed in the red letteri...

But your answer still does not answer my second point - "If you think we the veterans should have already known, can't you spare a thought to those newcomers? Those people would have thought ran1 wrote those Bold Red Text."

You should assume every instance of bold red text is by a mod, which is why normal users are not allowed to use it. Would it be nicer if a mods just add a remark that he/she has edited the original text and for what reason? If you think we the veterans should have already known, can't you spare...

Kokcon - So, the 17 episode run was really just 13 TV eps plus 4 OVAs. Lame. Blame those mad mad mad anime fans who kicked up a big fuss over what they perceived as bullying in the PR event preceding this anime. If not for them, I would say the last 4 episodes would have been broadcast on the net j...
