Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Rogue One should not be high. The acting and dialogue there is vastly outstripped by waht we see in the likes of ROTJ and TLJ, andit's story is vastly inferior to ROTS'. Rogue One might just be the most overrated film of the franchise. You've said all this already. You don't need to keep reiteratin...

Re: Who cooks better: Asuka or Rei
One thing for certain is that Misato is the worst cook.

Since we've pretty much run the gambit of all the characters, I'm going to change the thread title to reflect such.

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
There are bad puns, and then there are good puns. Vader's line is a really good pun. Not only does "aspiration" apply to Krennic's ambition, which is his major character flaw, "aspiration" also literally means to draw breath. While Krennic is sowing the seeds of his own failure, ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
By going through the exercise of invoking the other films and their qualities in comparison to Rogue One, you satisfied my hunger for consideration on such matters. Thank you.

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Rogue one is a technically bad movie with two really bad first acts. It also makes a mockery of Vader. It's enjoyable thanks to the third, but it's not even a good movie. What's technically wrong with it? Can you see the boom mic on screen somewhere? Can you see extras in the background? Your phras...

You're gonna need to justify that one, rather than passing it off as given fact.

Re: Why were there only 3 impacts ?
Ah, I missed that previously, and I imagine I'm not alone in that regard. Though it now occurs to me Lilith's Black Moon caused an impact strong enough to form a celestial body but Adam's White Moon did not. Notice that Lilith's arrival is described as the First Impact, and not Adam's. Adam's White...

Re: Nerv Nevada, S2 Engine Installation, Unit-04 Sabotaged?
I don't think it's at all a stretch to say that Seele may be able to influence/predict the behaviors of some of the Angels. We see it with Kaworu as well, and Rebuild seems to only have taken this concept further with Tunniel. It obviously can't apply to all the Angels, but for certainly for some. O...

Re: Nerv Nevada, S2 Engine Installation, Unit-04 Sabotaged?
It's really hard to pinpoint the extent of Seele's awareness/anticipation/knowledge of the Angels. Gendo lies to them about Iruel (another Angel that was all too conveniently packaged and sent to Nerv) but Seele is rather incredulous about Gendo's lie, as if they know more about the situation than t...

Re: The fate of Unit-04
For one, I see a lot of people refer to the event as being explicit sabotage by SEELE, but I don't recall where exactly the show specified that to be the case. From what I recall the show kept it ambiguous why the experiment failed. Did I miss something? And if I did, why would SEELE want to sabota...

Note that the thread OP is about general Internet toxicity and culture, not the w...

Re: Grave markers at the end of EoE?
RE: who came back/woke up first? We see Shinji return when he emerges from the Sea of LCL prior to the title card transition into the final scene. He watches as Lilith's body crumbles. https://i.imgur.com/ffKmLFG.jpg As for the grave markers, I'm sort of like Tines. At first I thought they were just...
