I never actually properly understood the scene... Can anyone with godly knowledge of Evangelion explain it? In my opinion, its a scene purposely abstract, with no real specific meaning. I think its a scene where the director may have had something he wanted to express, but the scene is largely inte...

Whatever higher being governs the world of Eva, be it 'God' or something else must have got someone to write all this stuff down. ProjectEva, including Anno himself, have stated time and time again, there is no religious truth in Eva. There is no God. The Angels are not really Angels. They ...

Are there any other great EVA resouce sites besides EvaMonkey and EvaOtaku? Also, are there any other reference books besides the heavily contested and debated RCB? The only thing published in English is a book from DH Publishing, coming out in July. As for stuff in Japanese, I'm not aware of any g...

Thats the one thing I don't like about about the Manga, Sadmoto makes him a much more sinister character. There was a point to that scene, but it can get misconstrued easily.

"The how and why, monkey style" Polls. I decided I didn't want polls to be a part of the forum. In general I find that they don't really serve a significant purpose. Polls do have their legitimacy, but in general, I find most Polls can do without being polls, and simply be a questi...

For me, as I watched the show, I was intrigued by the story, but that wasn't what truly did it for me. Anno used the show as a tool to exorcise personal demons, and I empathized with that, and it helped me work through some of my own personal issues. This is very personal to me, and I'm glad...

dosn't he use a chainsaw in V.9? Unfortunately. In general, I think the manga is quite good. I still prefer the anime to the manga, as the Anime is coming from Anno, and the manga is coming from Sadamoto. They both are skilled at story telling, but I prefer Anno's craft. I will say however ...

I always just thought that they were writtion by some anchiet prophet/pothead who thought he knew a lot about the future No....NO... *slaps with ruler* It certainly cannot be knowledge passed on by divine means, the production has repeatedly stated that there is no actual religious truth in it. Drawing the same thing day in and day out for 10 years would grate on anyone's nerves. Some people just weren't meant to be serial manga artists. I believe Sadamoto is one of them. He's a truly talented artist, but what an serial manga artist needs is patience and diligence. Sadamoto in ...

Introductions aren't productive discussion, hence no introduction forum. I'd ordinarily close a thread like this, but since I'm tired and this forum is just starting, and any discussion is better than none, I'll leave this as it is.

For now.
