Re: Comic Books?

DK3 #1 was underwhelming. And not just because Frank Miller didn't draw it. It's also more soft, safe and clean than TDKR and DK2 in terms of both art and script. Not to say that it's a bad comic, just that it doesn't feel like a Frank Miller comic. It's more like an imitation of one.

Yeah, the editing is great and it has two of my favoritest things in teh world. Really cool video.

Edit:

This isn't as good, but here's an Eva homage to the Cowboy Bebop intro

The Powerpuff Girls Re-Imagined as an extremely dark, edgy webcomic.

Starring Ritsuko as said sexy, sassy female scientist and Kaji as the 007-type secret agent trying to make her yet another one of his Kaji girls.

You could alter that any which way you want just for the sake of the story. In fanfiction, almost nothing is sacred.

I was thinking it would be interesting to see how Shinji would respond to such a stark change in context. It would be like how Gendo suddenly summons and makes him pilot the Eva, except now he's also on the other side of the planet surrounded by strangers that are very different from himself. Ge...

A fic where the setting is switched from Japan to the US. The Geofront/Black Moon is situated under Washington-3 or something. Shinji becomes the transfer student/pilot and Asuka is the daughter of Commander Langley. The cast would be essentially the same, except American versions of themselves (...

Consequences? Fuck that shit right there in the butt, change and challenge don't accommodate my gentle manchild sensibilities. I think it would be interesting to write a Nietzschean take on X-Men. The masters reject slave morality and reshape the world for the "better" as the overpeopl...

Not sure, but I think he was being sarcastic.

And does this really merit a thread of its own? Seems like it would have fit right in here.

Re: Can't take the non-FEELZ BP

South Park s19 ep 6, Asian girls, yaoi-as-foriegn-art-appreciation, the faux-pathos... I can't take it... :hitthetable: Good episode. It's cool how the show has evolved over the years, especially recently. I wouldn't call it a personal favorite atm, but it does entertain. Shows like Fam...

The real problem here is that the X-Men don't work as well when you make civil rights/equality the central theme of their books. Superheroes just don't work when you apply too much solid real world logic. Batman is a fascist's wet dream but is exempt because of the unrealism element that...

the original E3 2010 trailer - that's my dream game, not Platinum hack and slash nonsense. I remember seeing that trailer back when it was first released and being totally hyped for Rising. It's a shame that designing a game around the "cutting" mechanic turned out to be impractic...

Dota 2, but that's more frustrating than fun about half the time, which is saying much since I've played over 1000 hours in the span of 2 years. Even more if you include the time I spent on the original Warcraft III map.

Fehérlófia (Son of the White Mare) is one of the greatest animated features of all time. The bright, colorful surrealist animation really captures the feel of old myths and legends. Definitely a must-see if you have an interest in animation as an artistic medium. It's full of the creativ...
