Re: Rewatching the Rebuilds, and my thoughts
Once 4.0 comes out and gives us a satisfying conclusion :hitthetable:  Yeah. Like that's gonna happen. Anno is all about unanswered questions and coming to your own conclusions. Closure and satisfaction are the furthest thing from his mind. He's going to leave Shinji and the audience disappoi...

I got around to watching Made In Abyss and . . . JESUS CHRIST.
I will never be able to find animal girls cute again after this show. Why must you insist on twisting everything I love into something Ugly Japan?

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread
Ready Player One's New Trailer Is Out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSyvCOMgrtg Disney Frozen 2 is apparently open to the idea of making Elsa gay. It'll probably be like LeFou was Gay in the Beauty And The Beast. Where it's only inferred, and not openly talked about. Disney has too much invested ...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
It wasn't Marvel Studios fault for Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider. It was Warner Brothers fault for steel and Catwoman and BVS and JL. And guess who's still in charge of DC and who isn't still in charge of the Fantastic Four? And before you say "Muh Dark Knight trilogy" "Muh Wonder Wo...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
You. . . really hate Marvel, don't you? Contrary to popular belief. No. I don't. I just wish their success didn't come at the expense of my preferred Brand of Superhero. I just wish they didn't have a Monopoly on the entire genre at the expense of everyone else. At this point. I'm ready to throw in...

It's not appropriate to be upset when the biggest pop culture icon in the history of the world is being left to rot on the wayside while effing ANT MAN gets a multi million dollar critically acclaimed movie?

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
It took , decades before Marvel was willing to try a Captain American movie after that. And after the failure of bvs and Justice League nobody's going to want to see a Superman movie ever again for another decade at least. Superman has not had a good movie in 40 years if the character hasn't been do...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
I wouldn't go that far. They survived Batman and Robin and Steel . They can survive this. Those moves were standalones not intended to be the setup for a grander Cinematic Universe down the line. When you fail to get critical Acclaim for the first few movies intended to be set up for your Cinematic...

Ever read Millars Superior? It's a relatively light-hearted Shazam-expy story. But with some really dark moments in it as befitting of Mark Millar.
Like I said before I feel this is going to be a case of the pendulum swinging too far in the opposite direction.

It doesn't even matter anymore. DC is NEVER going to be relevant ever again.
I mean have you seen the recent Social Media posts for Shazam? Looks campy as F*ck.

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
None of this debate over is 'Batman a fascist or not' or is "Superman relevance in 2018?" matters anyway since they're going to reboot the whole goddamn thing with freaking Flashpoint anyway. And yeah I do argue for extenuating circumstances. When you do have a literal God on Earth with ab...

There's like nothing to spend money on. I've accumulated almost 90,000 rupees and I'm at a loss what to do with it all. I can't even buy tons of arrows because every seller carries a limited stock that takes time to replenish. If I can make a suggestion go to the fairy fountain in the Gerudo desert...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
People often presume to see in others what they discover first within themselves. Call the Kettle Black Chuck. That's about your speed. A great Superman story requires risks a studio would be not be willing to take as part of a blockbuster franchise. He would have to take stances. He would have to ...

Re: Superhero/Comic Based Films & Tv - Vol.2
Well then maybe it's time to let Superman go. If the character really is doomed to never be done right. If American society has thrown Superman as a very Ideal to the wayside and rejected it. Then maybe it's time to let Superman go and focus on other DC characters who have a better shot of being don...

Mark Millar (Superman Red Son, Starlight, Kick-Ass, Superior) made this comment in an interview, where he tries to give his two cents on the whole DC/Marvel divide and why DC can't seem to get it's act together. https://io9.gizmodo.com/mark-millar-has-an-interesting-about-theory-why-marvel-182328222...
