Train to Busan (8/10)- My first time experiencing a Korean zombie movie. I enjoyed the claustrophobic nature of the setting and the twitchy zombies.
Baskin (6/10)- A promising beginning with a mediocre climax. Lots of cool visuals but most of the symbolism went over my head.

Re: FML general thread [8]
I don't understand. Are you saying that watching NGE caused you to hate yourself, or that you expected NGE to somehow help you overcome your self-loathing but did not succeed? Either way, it's just an animated television series about giant robots, it shouldn't have that big of an impact on your life.

Re: Oh The Horror!
I saw 31 at an advanced screening last night. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it seems Rob might be running out of steam in the "psychopathic hillbillies" department. If you liked House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, you'll probably find something to like about this movie. On a...

Re: Last Movie You Watched
I thought I'd seen a lot of great movies this year, but Hell or Highwater blew them all away. This is going to be my film of the year guaranteed. Knockout performances from Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster.

I saw Don't Breathe today. It's really good. Kept me guessing how it was going to end. It's contending with Green Room as the best horror/thriller of the year in my books.

Re: Oh The Horror!
To the person who started this thread, maybe we can suggest horror movies that we haven't seen to others. What are some good underrated horror films? What subgenres of horror interest you (slashers, supernatural, psychological, body, etc) and do you only like modern horror or are you willing to wat...

Since I had the day off I had a marathon re-watch of the "big three" French extreme horror. I've definitely filled my quota of blood and guts for a while. Martyrs - 8/10 Fifteen years after a horrifying experience of abduction and prolonged torture, Lucie embarks on a bloody quest for reve...

Finished Stranger Things. Wow, everything about it was great. Acting, story, soundtrack, 10/10 on every front. Definitely THE TV series of 2016.

This is the most ludicrous theory ever. If the earth was flat, where would the subterranean shape-shifting lizard people be emerging from if not from the hollow earth?

All the people who can't decide if they want to get into it based on the fact its not complete, then don't bother. There are enough people in the world bitching about when Miura's finally gonna get back on a regular schedule. Basically, if you haven't started Berserk yet, then DON'T.

It really has a lot of relevance now of all times what with how current events are centered around cops vs minorities.

I fnally watched La Haine for the first time. Really powerful movie, and I really loved the 3 main characters by the end, which makes the ending even more impactful. I won't soon forget this one and I am going to order the Criterion DVD of this. http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/images/reviews/1/lahain...
