Re: Rick and Morty
The season finale felt lackluster compared to the rest of the season. Damn shame since they were doing so well.

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread
Slightly related to the exploitation of children, this movie looks very promising, lots of Drive/Taxi Driver/Hotline Miami vibes, plus Joaquin Phoenix is always fantastic.

Re: Last Movie You Watched
Mother! Every Eva fan should see it at least once. Granted, you don't watch a movie like this as much as you experience it. Btw, Chuckman, with regard to your avatar, I have always loved that Bacon painting. :) That final 25 minutes is a total assault on the senses. Would agree with fans of EoE che...

Wind River - 10/10 When the poster informs you it was written by the same guy who wrote Sicario and Hell or Highwater , you are already expecting greatness. This surpassed even my high expectations. Without a doubt the best of this unofficial trilogy. I suspect after a second viewing once the blu-r...

Re: Last Movie You Watched
Apocalypse Now Redux . Until tonight I'd only seen the theatrical cut a few times when I was younger. I can appreciate the extra insight the added scenes have, but really it feels like it ruins the pacing and is overly bloated. I know this is a question that has caused many an argument but I'll ask...

Do the apes still sign? Or are they all speaking now? Depending on the answer- I may have to wait till I'm back in Britland before watching this one. Can't read Polish subtitles yet, or understand ape-sign for that matter... Caesar speaks fluently now. Most of them still sign though. Maurice speaks...

War For the Planet of the Apes- Fantastic film, without a doubt the best in an already amazing trilogy. Seriously, Andy Serkis should win the first Oscar for a CGI character. I have no doubt I'll be going to see this once more before the theatrical run ends.

The Belko Experiment- 8/10
A fun genre film that I didn't know had been written by James Gunn (of GotG fame). The tagline describing it as Office Space meets Battle Royale was extremely apt.

Madoka Magica: The Rebellion Story. It's my personal favorite anime film of the new millenium. Also, Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

Put $10 into a VLT last night while out having some drinks and shooting pool with buds. Ended up winning $800, so all drinks were on me. Still managed to walk away with a cool $650.

They Look Like People - I don't really want to say anything about this film because its one of those movies you should know next to nothing about before watching. However I will say it's a fantastic psychological horror, a slow burn, and the first movie in a long time to genuinely unsettle me at ti...

Re: Last Movie You Watched
Menace II Society , the superior ghetto drama to Boyz n the Hood IMO. Life is Hot in Cracktown. From the director of Combat Shock (one of my favorite movies). Could almost be a spiritual sequel. It maintains that sense of urban squalor and hopelessness that permeated CS, but in a modern, hood setti...
