Re: Avatar: The Last Airbender (WTF is your avatar/sig from?)
For anybody curious, the artist for AR-99's avatar is Kimoto Kanata from the doujinshi group Necrolincer. They make some good hentai.

I'm guessing Chuckman has no interest in things of that nature. Liking asses is one thing. Liking what comes out of them is something else.

Re: Official Welcome Thread
A lot of the old threads that have content worth reading have either been continuously posted in up to this year, or have newer threads discussing the same topics. Don't worry too much about scraping the bottom of the forums for topics you may have missed-- there's probably somebody already talking ...

Re: Forum Theme Issues - reporting and discussion
Are permissions intentionally set that you have to be logged in to view people's user profiles or is that something people set themselves? Just curious how that works since I recall viewing the forums without log-in had to be tweaked. I don't think it's something we set for ourselves-- I haven't se...

Re: Forum Theme Issues - reporting and discussion
Something i find rather uncomfortable is the ability to see a user's most active thread. I'd rather it not be visible that 2.6% of my posts were me whining about first world problems in FML thread volume 1. I just went to my own profile to check that out, but it looks like some people don't have th...

Re: Star Wars
Here's the thing with Rey: People see her youth, and the setup, and they think, "oh, she's like Luke!" And then she busts out all of these capabilities that are at odds with that character archetype and cry "Mary Sue!" But she's not like Luke. She's like Jason Bourne...

Re: Star Wars
I saw Episode VII yesterday. The only thing that I really wanted was to be able to walk out of that theater and say, "I enjoyed that." I'm very happy to say that was something I was able to do! Episode VII is a fun ride all the way through. There were oodles of fantastic shots-- I saw the ...

Re: [News] strange happenings of 2015
It is possible to support a cause without letting everybody know about it. I'm not out there doing ALS walks or helming fundraising events for the homeless, but I still care about both of those issues. I can also participate in a charity for my local temple on the same day as a cancer fundraiser whi...

Re: [News] strange happenings of 2015
A possibly interesting comment thread, thought it might be worth sharing. I've read a similar argument about how the second law of thermodynamics disproves evolution: evolution involves creating life that is more complex, which would require putting more energy into a system to create life that con...

Re: Forum Theme Issues - reporting and discussion
I've just realized that the forum statistics page (where we could check stats on how many posts had been made in a given month, how many new people joined the forum, etc.) seems to be missing.

You keep saying the same things again and again...... We joined in the same week blah blah..... What this has to do with anything? There are members you joined abefore us or after and share the same opinion as mine. My perception is not biased at all. It's yours that is biased because you are part ...

Very far off the mark on where a thread like this would go! I'd recommend the anime and manga subforum, or better yet:

Re: friend/foe and ignore options
Blocking a moderator, at the end of the day, is just another form of not listening to them-- and we all know what happens when we don't listen to moderators. The only person losing anything is the person running the script, since they'll get the consequences without knowing why they're being handed ...

Re: Forum Theme Issues - reporting and discussion
I can't seem to find the setting that would allow me to display posts from a previous page of a thread on the current page. On the old forums, you could select to view up to five posts from the previous page of a thread. I can't find how to do that here.

Re: Third Impact Has Arrived
Just discovered that the forum now tells me if someone made a post in the same thread that I did while I was typing a post, if they submitted their post while I was typing. I think I'm starting to like this new interface a little more.
