Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

The reason I never watched Lain in the 90s or ever was that for some reason I had an unnatural fear of the 16 and up rating on the cover of the VHS or DVD of any anime I encountered at the local Sam Goody. But I got over it in a few years and immersed myself with other titles, just never on Lain. Sh...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Well i finally risked my sanity and watched the first episode of Serial Experiments Lain. Apparently, Lain is not the only one going crazy as her family is somewhat disconnected from reality as well in their own ways with her father devoted to computers, her mother ignoring her e mail encounter and ...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Yesterday, as a bonus feature in my Robotech DVD Box Set, there was the pilot episode called Space Fortress Macross which retained much of the same voice actors and original Japanese music yet still managed to slip in some Harmony Gold tracks in there. It was an interesting look at what could've bee...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I think I am developing a severe online shopping addiction. It's not so much about buying items, it's about buying then canceling items I know deep down I don't need. This seems to have developed out of necessity due to the pandemic leaving stores like Wal Mart out of commission.

American Pie 2: While not as instant classic as the first one, this one still holds up enough on it's own and as a sequel than most other entries in the series. Lots of funny hijinks and mishaps in this to keep me entertained.

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

I just got caught up with the first two episodes of Teknoman or Tekkaman Blade as it is originally called in Japan, this would be the Saban version that was heavily edited back in the day. Because of that, the lines that come off the characters feel slightly dated but hey, bonus points for putting R...

Tonight, I saw the premiere episode of Big Hero 6 The Series season 3. Kudos to Jenifer Lewis adopting the Mama Odie style of accent when it came to voicing park employee Sara. Also, I believe if more episodes are Fred-centered, this experience will be a wacky, loveable one.

*sighs* More muscle pain on the way...

Just hurt both my upper arms because of putting pressure on them due to a exercise routine. And after just recovering from the right foot, what bad luck follows me around huh!

Good times! I have yet to watch it with the English dub that was done after the old Manga one, I should get around to that sometime.

Re: Everything is Rockin'! [RML Thread 4]

I am feeling overjoyed because after over a week of pain on the sole of my right foot, it has finally recovered. ^_^ I had hurt it initially when I stepped it in the bathtub and the ground there even with the cushion that prevents slipping is too hard.

So I am now making my way through my first of what I hope will be many playthroughs with the new Sakura Wars, making the right decisions to that in my first go Seijuro and Sakura are the final couple. Sumire's new look and position as head of the Imperial Theater makes for an interesting combo since...

Re: The Macross Legacy Thread (Incl. +/DYRL/Zero/Seven/Frontier/Δ)

A little while ago, I watched the eighth episode of Frontier and I have to say this is so far my favorite episode. I haven't laughed so genuinely in a long time over the sequence of events that took place. The beginning with Ranka singing as the carrot girl in front of a store with that catchy littl...

Re: Currently Playing 5: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder!

Got in the mail my PS4 Sakura Wars game. Haven't done much gameplay yet but judging by the beginning scenes, the current Sakura was saved from a demon by the original Sakura when she was a child and the MC comes to Japan in a steam blimp.

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Just watched the 2015 Fantastic Four , Fantastic 4, or Fant4stic, or whatever. It wasn't as absolutely dreadful as I was expecting to be. I have no desire to ever see it again, it was kind of like a more realistic, or possibly joyless, remake of the same movie from ten years earlier, with 100% less...
