Re: Your entertainment wishlist?

Just caught that whole bit of info on Wikipedia. Shame he had to ruin his career due to not accepting his offspring and especially with the first Fast and the Furious still being his best work.

movieartman#899678 wrote:new director after Rob Cohen was accused of rape by his trans daughter

Really? That's news to me because last I heard, it was reported that Cohen had tried to hire strippers as a method to rid the trans from his daughter. I might be extremely misinformed but that's what I recall...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

At last I am making progress with the Ranma 1/2 OVA series as just now I watched the first episode which covers Shampoo being cursed by the reversal jewel to hate Ranma. I know great grandma Cologne wants Shampoo and Ranma to get hitched but her method here made me hate her and wish for a terrible f...

Received the No Tourists album from The Prodigy on CD today and I am totally in love with the first track "Need Some1". Also the shortest track clocking at 2 minutes and 44 seconds.

Re: The Macross Legacy Thread (Incl. +/DYRL/Zero/Seven/Frontier/Δ)

My review of Macross Plus episode 3 and the feel of the OVA vs. movie in general: I thoroughly enjoyed this more gritty take on Macross versus the usual otaku wet dream fap material that 7, Frontier, or Delta would give me both in terms of character design and writing. As for the OVA's continuity ve...

Linkin Park's new single "She Couldn't" I guess reminds me of Asuka running away from home in the middle of her psychological breakdown first crashing at Hikari's then eventually near comatose naked in the dirty abandoned bathtub.

Recently watched the fifth episode of Macross 7. Immediately noticed the Sharon Apple song playing on the car's radio as Basara and Mylene have their joyride interrupted by the biker gang. This episode sold me on finishing the main 7 tv series at least. When it comes down to it, you just can't beat ...

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat

Made a funny and loud memory listening to Mushroomhead's new album A Wonderful Life on full blast at around midnight  , all the songs are bombastic and more identifiable than most of their category on their previous two albums.

Uzaki You may know this anime and manga for the ridiculous controversies that spawned somehow from it, but if you ignore that and actually watch the damned thing you’d realize it’s an ok slice of life thing with some romance and fanservice sprinkled in it. The fanservice in particular is way tamer ...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

The reason I never watched Lain in the 90s or ever was that for some reason I had an unnatural fear of the 16 and up rating on the cover of the VHS or DVD of any anime I encountered at the local Sam Goody. But I got over it in a few years and immersed myself with other titles, just never on Lain. Sh...

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

Yesterday, as a bonus feature in my Robotech DVD Box Set, there was the pilot episode called Space Fortress Macross which retained much of the same voice actors and original Japanese music yet still managed to slip in some Harmony Gold tracks in there. It was an interesting look at what could've bee...

I think I am developing a severe online shopping addiction. It's not so much about buying items, it's about buying then canceling items I know deep down I don't need. This seems to have developed out of necessity due to the pandemic leaving stores like Wal Mart out of commission.

American Pie 2: While not as instant classic as the first one, this one still holds up enough on it's own and as a sequel than most other entries in the series. Lots of funny hijinks and mishaps in this to keep me entertained.

Re: What anime are you watching right now? Summer 2016 to now

I just got caught up with the first two episodes of Teknoman or Tekkaman Blade as it is originally called in Japan, this would be the Saban version that was heavily edited back in the day. Because of that, the lines that come off the characters feel slightly dated but hey, bonus points for putting R...
