So is anyone else going to watch that Spanish language remake, about the exploits of Walter Blanco?

I'm watching the last episode of The Wire tonight.

I already have many things to say about Season 5 and the show in general now that I've seen (Mostly) everything, but it's time for The Game to finally come to an end.

Gargantia was a mess of a series even with Chamber, so I can't imagine how worthwhile more of that show would be without him.

The Wolf Man (1941) - Kind of sad how bad this film is compared to some of the other Universal horror classics, like The Bride of Frankenstein . Oh well, it was only 70 minutes long. Gone With the Wind - Well put together drama that romanticizes the American South far too much and makes sla...

It's been a few years since I've seen it, but I agree that Born on the Forth of July is one of Cruise's better films.

I liked The Color of Money as well, even if it doesn't hold a candle overall to The Hustler.

Overall I think Deadly Premonition had a very well done dub. Don't you agree, Zach?

It's all about attacking the player and the video game industry as a whole. Where do you see attacks on the gaming industry in MGS2? I mean I see a lot of concerns and attacks directed at the digital age in general (Such as how the internet is used to spread misinformation at an alarming ra...

I don't know, I would have guessed Flynn would at least bump into Jesse, a dude that has actually been to his house a few times, before meeting both Gus and Saul. - The Wire - Season 4 Now this is what I'm talking about. THIS is the show I've been hearing so many good things about. The w...

Now that I'm thinking about it, does anyone else find it kind of weird that throughout the whole series Jesse and Flynn never share even a single scene together?

Spin off idea for BB 20 years down the line:

SPOILER: Show
Lydia's daughter, now orphaned, comes after Jesse and the remaining White family members for revenge.

Really though, that was a pretty fantastic conclusion.

What was the class? Film Adaptations of Literature. We looked at the novel in comparison with Kubrick's movie. King isn't really aware of them. That was the impression I got. Like with Halloran it's obvious King is well meaning and is trying to make him a heroic type of character, but h...

Captain America far too slow for a superhero feature. I think the slow pacing kind of helped Captain America: The First Avenger . You spend so much time in that 1940's world with the pacing of the movie that by time Cap finally awakes in 20xx, the culture shock is really effective IMO. Thor The...

Just finished reading The Shining for a class. After watching the Kubrick film for so many years, this novel was pretty bonkers. Hell even as its own work, this novel is god damn crazy at times. Stuff like the Overlook Hotel literally being a character that talks to people and the guy in the dog cos...

No, it wasn't. Stop making things up. EDIT: These last two posts are more dickish than I meant them to be, so for that I'll apologize. Honestly though, I don't see how you get "This film isn't artistic because it has an attractive cast" from what I wrote. What you bolded ce...

Movies That Would Make Great Double Features

Earlier I was thinking today of movies that would make great double features, because of thematic similarities, different looks at similar material etc. Like The Motorcycle Diaries and Che would go pretty well together, and would give you a pretty neat overall look at Che from a young idealist to th...

It's three hours long, shot entirely handheld in overly tight close ups, has gorgeous women on screen all the time & is in French. What doesn't it have going for it? None of those sound like inherently positive qualities to me. Nor inherently negative I guess. The actresses being so pre...

I actually didn't care that much for Yojimbo (Or A Fistful of Dollars either for some reason), but found Sanjuro captivating from beginning to end. The last action scene there was just icing on the cake. Hm, while I do understand why people just didn't like Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With...

^Alternatively, Walt could make even bigger, badder, Nazis to fight these ones. You could say he really is out there to prove his "White Supremacy". No, guys... walt is going to take the ricin himself. Why would he do this? Ricin is a slow-acting poison. Shit, Walter is more likely to get ...
