What was the context of the statement?

Because I know Hollywood had a lot of Jewish heads of studios at least back in the day, but that doesn't mean there's like a "Zionist conspiracy" or anything.

Yeah. I seem to be in the minority when it comes to Do the Right Thing. I hate the film because it manages to do the exact reverse of what it is trying to do. What do you think the film is trying to do? and berating Tarantino over use of the n-word in his scripts when even former Black Panther Samu...

I think you could read it as either meaning "Asuka protests the masculine/male characters" (Perhaps referring to how she wants Shinji to be more "manly".) or "Asuka protests in a masculine way" (AKA speaking her mind, generally being a little rough etc.)...

They both have...black people? (????) I was referring more about how they both are based on true stories (One recent, one not-so-recent), both are about people forced into captivity against their will, both are about 2 hours and 10 minutes long, both end with each main character cry...

I disagree very strongly with your assessment of the situation, but I'll agree to drop this. Anyways, here's a pic that's been floating around the internet featuring the cast of Metastasis ! http://25.media.tumblr.com/52263c5e008acd16f81adbfd784da5a1/tumblr_mnle9lizXd1qzpxx1o2_r1_1280.jp...

Gaotetsu & Killer of Heroes: If you want to talk about the Wire make a thread for it. This is the Breaking Bad thread. Should I make a different thread for the Spanish Breaking Bad remake as well then? Because that's a different show than this one too. And we apparently wouldn't want pe...

None of the characters in The Wire are especially complex But even in this framework the female characters are significantly less interesting than the male ones. Characters like Bubbles, The Bunk, and Freamon aren't exactly deep, and yet there's more to each of them than literally every fem...

So I saw both Captain Phillips and 12 Years a Slave. Both were utterly fantastic.

It's also kind of surprising much both movies have in common, and where they differ (Particularly in the endings).

The Wire and Breaking Bad are both top-tier shows with two entirely different goals and ways of reaching them. Though I do find The Wire to be the more inconsistent series. For example, it does a great job writing complexity into characters like Stringer Bell that have usually just been written jus...

It helps that Werner Herzog is willing to poke fun at himself. Like that time he was on The Boondocks of all things.

So I just finished the first episode of The Story of Film: An Odyssey . Seemed pretty good for the most part, though I don't really understand what the narrator was going on about in regards to Casablanca in the first couple of minutes. I also personally think he may be giving Alice Guy-Blache s...

Re: yes i know i'm extremely late

although I wasn't scared by this one This isn't an uncommon reaction. Reviews for the movie when it first came out often complained about it not being scary. Of course this is only an issue if you think it should be (Or that Kubrick was trying to make) a scream-inducing horror film...

Just plugged my iPhone into my computer to put new song into a playlist. iTunes instead decides to delete like 20 gigs worth of my music.

There are no words for how furious I am right now.

Been playing KH:FM HD lately. So I finished that and tried moving on to Re:CoM HD. "Tried" being the key word there. This is the single worst release of the entire KH series. No, not Re:CoM. Re:CoM was a blast when I played it on the PS2. The 1.5 Remix as a whole is just awful. Glitches e...

Yeah, I've heard Re:coded wasn't very good at all. How much can you really expect from a mobile game port? It's not even a port though; it's a full blown remake. Sure you don't expect much story development from a cell phone game anyways but they could have had a more solid syst...

Days had some pretty awful gameplay, and re:coded wasn't much better to be quite honest. They'd have to completely overhaul both of them to be worth their while. It's not like KH2FM where a fantastic system was already in place in vanilla KH2 that was only limited by the fact that the e...

Been playing KH:FM HD lately. Working on the Easy Mode/Speedrun/No Deaths/Base Equipment Trophies right now.

Man this game has aged poorly in comparison to KH2FM.
