Re: [Spoilers] Population of Earth after the Third Impact

Have you seen the preview? Takes place in Paris, and the place seems pretty messed up as well. It seems most of the world is covered in "core", which makes it unlivable. The moon being close enough to earth to share its atmosphere (and rotating that fast) can't be good either. I think you'...

Re: Stuff that you would like to see in Evangelion 3.0+1.0

Haven't read all this, so maybe this has been suggested before, but I thought of something the other day, I thought I would share. Because I would like to see something from the timeskip, the missing eva's and angels, how to cover that fast in the movie (because obviously, if we get to see this, the...

Ah yes, totally right. In which case my way of seperating em doesnt really work, so never mind that :p
But the gist of it is that a DDoS doesnt have to mean malicious intent.

Re: Forum Wackiness

Also note there is a difference between DDoS en DoS, DDos is directed (the first D) and is thus being done on purpose. A DoS doesnt have to be an attack, it could be as simple as an indexing bot, or some malware simply requesting too much of the server for it to go down. So you can still get DoS-ed,...

Re: Oh boy! A NEW HALF-LIFE GAME! (Half-Life: Alyx)

This pretty much demonstrates and confirms Steam's stance on the franchise tho, so we can truly forget about ever seeing Half Life 3. Valve only uses it to push services and their hardware, they dont care about satisfying the playerbase with a worthy sequel :( What was the last game they produced? A...

Amen to that, I saw it around the same age and it impacted me deeply.
Now, almost 20 years later I'm still not over it :p

Re: Why do people (or maybe you personally) dislike episodes 25 & 26 (the TV Episodes) so much?

I really didn't like the episodes on my first viewing, (the whole second part of the series). Mostly because I didn't expect it all, my only experience with Anime up to this point were shouty shonens like Dragonball Z. So I kept expecting a happy end, surely all this has to improve at some point? It...

Re: Asuka isn't Justified

Like pretty much having to make a 180, that's why it wouldn't happen.
That's what fanfics and spinoffs are for, usually they rewrite big portions of their progress simply to make it work.
But in NGE and NTE? Nah, story isn't about that.

How much further is it ahead/different? I'd like to pick it up, but would hate to have largely a repeat of the series and only get very little new stuff when im caught up. Is it updating regularly?

Re: The Curse of Eva - Can It Be Broken?

I also don't think this will be that important. I see it as an excuse to keep the children young and still be able to use a timeskip. Shinji had the perfect excuse to stay young, he didn't have a physical body when merged with 01. The others probably do have similar circumstances (exceeding plug dep...

That's an oldie, has been ages since i've seen it. Had to read a summery to make sure I actually saw it.
Might be worth watching again. Thanks for mentioning ;)

Re: Darling in the Franxx (Studio Trigger)

The kids were all genetically modified for piloting and as former pilots, Hachi and Nana are included in that category. Seeing how they were never supposed to be anything more than canon fodder who die young, I can totally see the process intentionally ignoring them to leave them behind to die. The...

Re: Darling in the Franxx (Studio Trigger)

I just recently saw this one. I saw someone compare it to Evangelion (or at least, that it borrows a lot from it). So that was my mindset when watching it. Kept expecting the kids to end up with gruesome deaths, but even the girl that got crushed in 1st episode appeared to be safe and sound. The onl...

... side question; why does the wunder have 3 satellite dishes? I see no tactical/engineering reason for it Assuming the diameter of the dish is 175 m (size of large nuclear submarines) the wunder's surface area per dish is 24,052.819 m² times 3 its 72,158.456 m²........... The VLA has 28-25m dishe...

Re: Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

I must say, that does sound interesting. I think this outlines the problem with the original Terminator franchise. The first 2 movies were fine, the rest just overdoes it. If skynet could easily nuke the planet, then why bother sending infiltrators into camps? Just drop another nuke on them. The sto...

Re: Spring Cleaning 2019

I noticed a large influx of spam/bot accounts on social media, probably in preparation of the next american presidential election. On imgur, for example, throw away accounts that spam relatively safe stuff to build a reputation, and then start inserting political comments. It's a really weird phenom...

Re: Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)

Exactly, most movies have flashforwards about the future, mostly showing HK's and T1's, some are about the future, and also prominently feature these "dumb" bots. But they do manage to send highly advanced alien-tech-esque scifi back to the past? When and where did those get developed? Oh,...
