I was not at all serious about Kensuke/Rei. Kensuke was actually a completely random choice due to the fact that they don't appear to... you know... come from the same DNA strain. Otherwise I'd probably be a Shinji/Rei shipper. Wait, did I just imply that I'd be a shipper of any sort? Ug...

Kurosawa is the director that introduced me to world cinema, and he's still my favorite. Ozu and Mizoguchi were later finds but I love them both; I also love both films I've seen from Ichikawa. I tend to love Asian cinema in general, but the Japanese are certainly one of the great film coun...

I feel like Rei really just needs a hug. Who to pair up with her? It's difficult considering her... biology. I dunno. Maybe Kensuke.

I'd like to read your analysis (if you have it available online) after I see the film. It's not exactly my best piece of analysis. I haven't read it over since I handed it in, but if I decide I'm not too embarrassed by it I might let you see it after you've seen the movi...

I'm relatively new to anime and have been trying to watch more of it. The first full series I watched was Samurai Champloo, and have been trying to watch more since. One of my current flatmates has been into anime for a long time, and about a year ago when we were chatting he mentioned that Evan...

Hm... Do you like the bomberman games? I know my post is lame. Actually, my name comes from my old name on another message board, which was in fact "Bomberman Blue." People just started calling me Bomby for short. I added the "von Bombsville" because I felt I needed a surname.

I've only seen three from Hou Hsiao-Hsien so far (Millennium Mambo, Three Times, and Flowers of Shanghai). It's actually Tsai Ming-Liang whose work I'm rather ashamed to say I haven't explored yet. Now that I'm trying to conserve money as I enter my final year of college,...

I want the Blu-Ray release of Evangelion to buy me flowers every other week. Maybe comment on my clothes or hair to make me feel pretty every once in a while. It would be nice if it picked up after itself, and maybe helped out with the dishes, too. Really, what I want is just the series with good im...

I also like Craig Ferguson. Scottish accents make everything funnier. I particularly enjoy when he does the "Rather Late Programme with Prince Charles." It's nice not to have to choose between him and Conan anymore, though I don't really watch late night TV (or any TV, for that...

Pretty nice list of directors you got there. Are you familiar with the work of Kenji Mizoguchi? He is one of my favorite directors, and was also a favorite of Kurosawa and Jean-Luc Godard.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna like it here.

Not that most people care about cinematographers, anyway... CGI: Either well done or not done at all. I believe t...

I wouldn't still be fixated on it This. It was hearing about Anno's motivations behind making the series that got me interested in Eva in the first place. If it weren't for the psychological aspect, I probably would've been bored by the narrative and annoyed by the budget constraint...
