Every once in a while, I wonder how many people bought copies of Thriller in the past week.

Am I the only one who was reminded of the Melissa Etheridge song upon reading the title of this thread?

Spike Lee's remake of Oldboy It's actually pretty decent. There isn't really much to offer for people who've already seen the original, but stepping back and taking a less personal view of it, it's still a solid film, and people who haven't seen the original will probably enj...

So unless someone does something amazing in the next 30 days, it looks like Yeezus and "I Got a Boy" are going to be named my favorite album and single of 2013, respectively. Apparently, I love it when popular artists make music that's a departure from what they've done and piss of...

She didn't want to eat all the chocolate by herself. For some reason she bought two sheets of chocolate, one milk chocolate, one dark chocolate. And it was that super-rich Godiva stuff.

I might seriously be done with chocolate forever. Or at least for a very long time. I'm serious.

My coworker convinced me to eat lots of chocolate.

Now I'm nauseous.

The fucked up things women with nice lips will do to your brain.

I don't even like her like that. She seems extremely vapid.

But those lips, I tell you.

Anyone else here listen to it yet?

Basically it was something along the lines of how he would never be allowed to make an anti-Semitic movie because "Jews run Hollywood." I don't really interpret any "Zionist conspiracy" in the statement, more so referencing the fact that there were in fact several Jewish stud...

As far as the anti-Semite accusations go, I'm pretty sure it stems from the controversy surrounding Mo' Better Blues and the "Shylock" stereotypes, followed with a statement about Jewish people running Hollywood.

Do the Right Thing is one of my favorite movies. For one thing, it's a movie that starts an actual discussion about race relations, rather than just invoking white guilt as an one of those "feel good about yourself for feeling bad" movies *cough crash cough*. More importantly, I admir...

VLC Player has no region coding for DVDs you pop into your computer. If your issue is the DVD drive or graphics card, don't really know how to help there. -o-; It's the DVD drive. VLC has been able to get around the region coding for some DVDs, but not most. My drive is currently set at reg...

On my old laptop, I was able to get firmware that allowed me to change DVD region codes unlimited times. With my "new" laptop (which I've actually had for about 2 years now...) I still haven't been able to find anything to get around that. Apparently my drive (HP BD CMB...

Before Sunset . Ugh, so romantic. Why can't this happen to me in real life? Actually, I guess Before Sunrise would be preferable since Before Sunset would require that I already know th person. It helps that Werner Herzog is willing to poke fun at himself. Like that time he was on The Boondocks...

Is it difficult for you to make new or more permanent friends in your current living/working situation? Where I am now it's pretty common for close friends to leave and never return, or for new people to appear or old friends to resurface. You don't seem like the sort of person who'd be...

It really sucks trying to chat with a friend you used to be super close to about happy things to distract yourself from the soul-crushing depression you're feeling but they're barely responding. Like, what happened? We used to be so close. Do we really just not have anything to talk about an...
