I've been rewatching RGU with my boyfriend and we reached the cowbell episode yesterday. I was laughing so much I figured I might as use Nanami as my next avatar. Dona Dona Dooonaa Dooooonaaaa ... (that's Episode 16 in both series, btw) Utena is a little scarce on mecha and daikaiju...

oh great, more LGBT hogwash from a dirty old man. New site update! Nothing too surprising, we got a new front picture with the characters we expected from the manga, staff credits, studio announcement (SILVER LINK.) and the main voice cast. The official character designs show a surprisingly...

But as for the OP that aired on Television and is featured in all of the DVDs, there was only ever one version of it. No alterations. There was a slight, insignificant change between the different versions of the OP. If you look closely at the Video/LD edition or the original DVD release, Ritsuko&#...

真 (truth) can also be read as シン. We've heard it in 2.0 when Seele and Gendo referred to Mark.06 as 真のエヴァンゲリオン - shin no evangerion - the True Evangelion. Here in the FINAL preview it could be a reference to the "true" Evangelion TV series, especially as they've gone back t...

Might as well link the translation of Yuichiro Oguro's personal comments on #25 and #26 (he was in charge of the various official commentaries for the original series): I have just been writing about episodes 25 and 26 as being the first ending, but I wonder if episode 26 is not in fact ...

A few years ago, back while I was watching the first season of Sailor Moon for the first time, I played a little game: guess which episodes where directed by Ikuhara (I'm a big fan of Utena and Penguindrum , if that wasn't obvious). I actually got most of them right! The show was def...

A few useful links: http://forum.evageeks.org/thread/12975/Ikuhara-on-Kaworu/ I have been asked directly by a few people before now if I was the model for Kaworu. Where did that information come from? I was completely uninvolved [in Kaworu's creation] as one of the principals. Kaworu is very goo...

You forgot one, at risk of sounding blasphemous. . . . . . and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him , and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. Rev 1: 7 For what it's worth, that's the same quote used in the official TV ad for RAI's airing of 1.11 and 2.2...

By the way, there's no way to get || to display right on the wiki. A shame since || is Final's title (and not ? anymore, unless ? was just a placeholder). Are any of these useful? I don't know how widely supported they are, but they seem to work on the few systems I'...

Sekai wo Kakumei Suru Tame Ni from the musical is amazing. The way the Egg Speech fits the Kami no Na ha Abraxas-derived melody is surprising, especially since it wasn't meant to be sung in the first place.

But of course nothing can beat fem-Touga singing his (her?) own duel song!

*I could put my free time into translating the scripts myself, but some of the script/film terminology would probably throw me off. And it'd take a long, long time, if people would be fine with that. I'm still toying with the scripts of the DC episodes from time to time. Feel free to ask if...

To me, the moment they speak about a cavity pretty much identical to the Antarctica's White Moon in Ep 21 is the moment you can already tell that "the giant white guy is in fact Lilith". It wouldn't make sense that they had a "moon" without a SoL, and if Adam ended up li...

I would have loved to have seen more of them, in fact throughout the series and I would have loved to have seen more episodes about the military or focusing on the politics and state of the world post second impact. And I am glad I decided to use do so. It is very minor, but that page is actually missing a music cue. In episode 3, scene 5, there is a short bit where Kensuke is checking the news stations, and the broadcast has some music playing along with it. The commentary lists this as a sound effect for &qu...
