Didn't Ritsko say that Rei was the only synthetic body to be able to contain a soul ? I don't think she is universally hated. She really doesn't do enough in the series for anybody to hate her. Even people I know who've hated Evangelion after watching it, still liked Rei. As for me. ...

I don't know why everyone loves this movie so much, the characters are so sick! And you're on a forum for what show now??? I've never read the manga, so I'll have to unfortunately judge the movie simply BASED ON IT'S OWN TERMS. Oh, God! No! I thought the movie was an amazing mil...

It's just an anime. The medium itself allows the artist to express character traits through unnatural color pallets, and because it's all stylized character design anyway, having unnatural colors wouldn't be as distracting as it would if it were live-action. I have no idea when nationali...

It's an anime.... I haven't seen an anime yet that has characters that actually look Japanese in them. They all look very Caucasian. Ironically enough, that's my biggest problem with Japanese cos players, or Japanese actors in live-action anime remakes (the DeathNote movies). Th...

My childhood at Syracuse, New York dictates a lot of what I think and say as a 21 male in Wake Forest, North Carolina. I still slip into a Brooklyn accent when I get angry, especially when on the road. I like it here...I wonder if I could move to the Internet... The language is hard to learn, and it...

Gunslinger Girl. Mainly because the failing, minute-made second season wasn't even handled by the same animation studio as the amazing first season. It almost made me embarrassed to even finish the series on the internet.

ITT: film nerds ruin a fun series of reviews by overanalyzing and whining that the reviewer doesn't love it enough. Well, I just kinda do that naturally upon the first viewing. It's not something I even do consciously anymore, it just happens. I believe movies, even though they are art, can...

Describing Kaoru as either a homosexual or a heterosexual makes no sense, because there is nothing sexual about his words or actions. As for Rei, her scenes involving nudity early on establish her lack of regard to or even ignorance of sexuality, in visible contrast to Shinji. Upon deeper scrutiny,...

"What are sexual feelings?" :rei_meh: Other than episode 23, there was also a scene with Rei and Toji, when Toji tells Rei she has a "thing" for Shinji. There might have been a hint to a sexual desire in Rei bubbling up there. As for the whole "Would you like to become one w...

I don't think it has quite the presentation of Bebop's combination of soundtrack/cinematography/art design, I'll give you soundtrack - I've never been a big fan of NGE's OST and consider it it's only real weakness and Yoko Kanno = GOD - and I won't even quibble over art ...

Over use of that method might over charge the circuits to the point where they wouldn't work at all anymore. Then there wouldn't be anymore positron rifle strategy anyway.

Best to just quickly find the less taxing solution than to use up everything at once.

I think this has to do with how much a person can relate to something. For example the death toll during the black plague in the middle ages was huge. But no one gives a crap about the black death because they can't relate to it, it's even been featured humorously in a number of childrens c...
