Hold on, you're saying that these people are going to physically beat someone for not having the same taste in music? That's not something you should be proud of . Yeah this happens. A really solid band (Cynic) almost got boo-ed off the stage because they weren't BROOTAL enough ...

My copy just came in! It's a lot better quality than I thought it was going to be actually. Colors are crisp, audio's great, there's a few occasional artifacts but I only really notice them when there's some effects going on that were probably done SD.

I was debating between that and All the Pretty Horses . Which would you recommend? Haven't read All the Pretty Horses to be honest. From what I've heard it's God-tier stuff, and its on my "to-read" list. Anna Karenina has been taking forever to get through (I took a ...

Marathoned Jin-Roh and Grave of the Fireflies . Jin-Roh was really legit actually, I particularly liked Red Riding Hood motif used throughout the whole thing. My only bug is that like it seems to have Oshii's trade mark main character: a person who doesn't talk much and stares off into the d...

It's awesome. I read that in one sitting at Borders once. You read No Country For Old Men yet? Even compared to the movie the book is still pretty legit.

Two songs (less songs than filler noise) that really brought the wave of nostalgia were (-) Ions and Cesaro Summability ; that fucking baby's cry, man—so much nostalgia. Hooker With a Penis is also always a favorite, of course. Great ass album. Someone liking the filler tracks t...

I think I read the Narnia stuff at around the same time, and I didn't like those, either. They're not that good IMO. I read through five of the books, but stopped due to lack of caring. It wasn't able to draw me in like His Dark Materials did. @ Jimbo's question - I'd have to sa...

Gunna re-watch Death Note. Not really sure why I want, but for some reason I've been craving a ridiculous, twisty, over the top kinda series that's fairly easy to get into.
