Gendo knew that a machine built on hope would always end up far more powerful that his own creation which was built on physical and psychological abuse and emotional manipulation.

Translating short bullet point goals (and still rather poorly) is completely different from translating narrative prose. I still advise against trying it. Nothing good will come of it.

Please for the love of god don't use machine translations. They're still absolute garbage for Japanese and will only lead to more misinformation.
