I too am waiting eagerly :) This piece also makes you wonder what kind of relationship Anno has (or had) with his parents. We all know Anno's statement that Him = Shinji deal - although true - is not to be taken entirely literally (Anno doesn't masturbate over comatose girls ...

Oh God no, I really hope this is not the case. Their dubs sucks but so does nearly everyones and their only grave sin is their NGE commentaries. But ADV is biggest anime publisher around and if it goes down like Geneon some time ago... Bad times indeed Can you imagine how horrible it would be if tit...

I don't know, manga had explanation for it and I always found explanation to be unneeded (still cool looking sequence). Even Sadamoto's explanation was BS. That SO wouldn't have stopped an Eva-01 out for some late-night partyin'. True. I facepalm'd when I saw those silly...

Trying to compress 12 episodes and having a new character introduced PLUS two new EVA's in just 90 minutes sounds like nightmare. It's not as if they have an obligation to actually follow any more of those 12 episodes than they want to. "Rewrite of Evangelion", and all. I don'...

I think I mostly suspended my disbelief the first time. I remember thinking that Eva-01 mysteriously getting back into the Cage without explanation after her dining incident was a total bullshit copout, though. Probably other things, too. That was the only one I immediately recall as well. I don...

There was topic about this some time ago but I found Gendo (I'm male and sure about my heterosexuality btw) to be reasonably handsome as a character. Looking him at Ep 21 it wouldn't be at all hard to imagine him sometimes picking up chicks (not to say he was playboish at all)...

I agree with seeing the changes. The changes seen in Rebuild have only enhanced the experience for me. Usually it's the opposite; hindering it. I also agree with V. I want to savior the experience of the Rebuild series, and they can take as long as they wish! After seeing the 2.0 preview though...

Has a megaupload link that still seems to work. That was the one I downloaded and it had hardsubs in it.

Upper version is dead but lower works. Well, that's better than nothing :)

Shiki-Jitsu is absolutely wonderful movie. Scene composition, cinematography overall, pacing (well, most of the time. Also, few people match Anno when it comes to using of pillow shots.), innovative animated sequences and wonderful acting... It's definetly one of the best films I've ...

Extremely subtle hidden things are all over the place. There are probably several that have never been discovered and may never be. Careful there with those ha-has. Are you familiar with the "Tree of Life at 2I" screw-up? Take a look at this, for example (courtesy of Zugzwang) The...

People who cry "PRETENTIOUS!!!!!" whenever a show/movie tries to make them think. This is a general pet peeve of mine that happens to apply to NGE. Also, people who confuse "interpretation" with "unfounded BS" This is so true. In fact most "deep" animes are p...

Thanks :)

as you can see from colors of everything else apart from water there's no weird coloring unlike in One More Final.

I'd really appreciate if someone told me how to do those captures with VLC player

but as we can see bathing water is red too. Post a screen cap. I have a feeling this is more of a "lighting issue" than a continuity error. For another example of the exact same thing in Eva, see the last scene in EoE, where Asuka's appear to be a dif color. Sure would if someone told...

Also: It's incredibly hilarious that RoE managed to stumble upon continuity mistake in its first "number". :toothy: Wait, what? Whole water business. Not all of it is red. It would make "somewhat" sense if only oceans were red (such division in colouring would still be s...

Uhh, yes. Same with most of the other animes and their fans. I'd bet Anno would bitchslap at least 1/4 of EVA fans when he'd meet them and hear all the junk they've bought. And afterwards make facepalm :toothy:

edit: EVA fans, not EVA (d'oh)

I for one really hope this isn't sequel, although evidence is quite good for it. Anno's statement, opening scene (it can't be coincidence) and red water overall and above all Kaworu's statement. Damn I hope I'm wrong here. Also: It's incredibly hilarious that RoE mana...

And "oral stage" is supposed to refer to the theoretical psychosexual stage during infancy when a child receives erotic pleasure through the mouth, but that didn't stop NGE from using it as the title of a recap episode containing no babies. Where did you pull erotic from? IIRC it'...
