Re: Evangelion Pic Thread 10: The Society for the Appreciation Of The Premium Girl (and her friends)
@robersora: I think, since this is from the same artist that did the Radio EVA Illustrations, that it is meant to invoke photos that you would see in fashion magazines like Vogue. Though the bathtub imagery do give it a unique subtext that would register on some fans radar, so I can see the point yo...

Re: Je 18:15
Looking at it, I think this is a case of those words being romanized Japanese. I remember the prelude from Nadia, the "Are You Adventurers?" Sequence, having similar writing in it.

But you would think that the four years between that interview and when he started the series in 2007, he would have watched the show. I mean, he couldn't have been that busy.

Re: You Can Start Again
How much more do you have left for the story? By my estimate it's around four chapters or so. Then again, there have been times where I intended to have certain events happen in a complete chapter only to split it up into multiple when I get to writing it. There'll still be an audience for it. Read...

Re: You Can Start Again
Chapter 30 is now released. I know that I will not complete the story before Thrice Upon A Time is released, and I'm not 100% sure they'll be an audience for it after that film is out. I've had conversations with some people on the subject and they assured me that people will still want to read it,...

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II
Going back to G-Reco for a second. If anyone had seen the two theatrical parts (out of five) released for far, could you tell me how they hold up compared to the TV series covering those same events? Since it is supposed to be five parts, that likely means that the film series altogether will be lon...

Unfortunately no. I chose that title as a cheeky reference to a pretty famous novel. Sorry if I confused you.

Re: Release Date: January 23, 2021
I am curious from a scientific perspective why a lot of the cases are low and don't get serious. There was talk earlier in the year of some local Japanese pharmaceuticals showing promise against Covid but I never followed up on if that ultimately went anywhere. It has also been scientifically prove...

Re: Christmas a pagan holiday?
The thing is the early Christian church co-opted a lot of pagan traditions in its first few centuries in order to spread their messages more effectively. I recommend watching this History Channel documentary from the late 1990s (you know, back when the channel was good) can explain it better than I ...

Re: Release Date: January 23, 2021
^Yes, it should be delayed, but I think they're keeping the release date because it's a little over three months from the end of the fiscal year in Japan, and the companies involved in the film's production, such as Toho, want to be in the black by April 1st. It's a bit more cynical than I care to b...

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II
In the case of Gaia Gear those modifications would need to be pretty extensive, because its setting is mutually exclusive with the canon that replaced it. Other than the basic outline and listening to a little bit of the audio drama version that's on youtube, I really don't know too much of the det...

Re: Gundam (In All Its Incarnations) Mk. II
What was I thinking posting that link? Things like Gaia Gear were written out of canon by newer works Yeah, but I can see G-Savior just as easily written out. Everything I've seen dealing with the "UC Next 100" project doesn't mention it while the other late UC works are. I can ...

I don't know if this is important or not, but there is a video showing the behind the scenes in filming the live action segment of EoE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl8zF4QvfOE&feature=youtu.be If this is in the wrong subforum (with all these changes, I'm not sure anymore), please move it. Th...

Re: Evangelion:3.0+1.0 Trailer 3 Discussion
His infodump in 3.0 is ambiguous, he seems like he's doing it out of a sense of personal guilt/honor/responsiblity. He clearly feels at least a bit sorry for Shinji, and probably feels he owes it to Yui and/or Yui's son. If I remember correctly, there is a scene where Fuyutsuki tells Gendo that if ...

Re: Release Date: January 23, 2021
I do not think what they are doing is immoral, but at the same time it is neither of the two safest bets: releasing the film digitally or after COVID is "solved", whatever that means (vaccine I imagine). I think it all depends on what precautions the movie theaters in Japan take to ensure...

On the other hand, do you think they'll include everything ? I mean, they mention Death, but not Rebirth... I know it's nitpicking but I kinda like Rebirth :uhh: Let's look at the Japanese Bluray releases to help determine that answer courtesy of CDJapan. First on the list is the edition released i...
